It's a short street filled with duty free fragrance, jewellery, and liquor shops. Quite boring in all honesty...Plus you have the tour bus drivers on the street trying to persuade you to take their tour. It can be annoying too. The alcohol is fantastically cheap on this island so by all means shop for that but there is not much... More

Unless you're buying high-end watches and well overpriced jewelry, or high-end, over priced alcohol, or cheap clothing that's also over priced, it's best to avoid this area all together. The best jewelry and clothing shopping we found was right at the cruise center. All we found on Main Street were people trying to lure us into alleys for godonlyknowswhat. It's... More

Walked through here on a recent cruise port day, we had a list of things we wanted to get, but found that the jewellery was not all that cracked up to be. Shopped for other gifts and nick knacks for family and friends. Great for duty free alcohol, can't believe it's so cheap here. None of the staff pushed you... More

Main street through Chalotte Amalie is a fantastic experience, which shopping for everything you could desire lining both sides of the road. The best buys here are for gold jewelry, diamonds and Tanzanite, although you do need to be careful and make sure that you stay in the right stores, as some of the less reputable ones are known for... Typical main street for a port town in the caribbean. Lots of jewelry stores with all kinds of gold, silver, jewels and gems. Fairly decent merchandise with negotiable prices. The best deals are to be made when the cruise ships are not at port!

Lots of little shops selling souvenirs, tea shirts, jewelry, etc. Some shops have better prices than others & they all seem to offer the same designs.

Main Street is a central location for jewelry and souvenir shopping. Although, there were a few empty storefronts

The first thing I noticed was the buildings, most of the shops are in historical buildings, there are a lot of jewelry stores, but there is something for everyone, art, antiques, souvenirs, and of course food!

We weren't sure what we would find but found a fun place to wander around. We found some nice little shops and cafes down what looked like alleys. It was a nice surprise after our disappointment at Havensight.

Store keepers come at you like flies trying to get you to come into their store. Main Street is only a few blocks long.
