Al and Meagan were the perfect hosts. On the boat were 3 young couples and the 4 of us "older folks". Introductions were made and we all thoroughly enjoyed everyone. The sites Stormy decided to visit were perfect and the snorkeling could not have been better. Lunch on Cooper island was worth the stop. Enjoyed the many local stories. Meagan... More

My wife and I, for our anniversary, wanted to DO the Virgin Islands up right. We booked this excursion through Trevor's Activities, which is located in an outdoor booth at Mongoose Junction. Trevor and Jill were most helpful in hooking us up with Cap'n Al and Ms. Meagan (possibly the world's most powerful swimmer) and the good ship Pirate's Penny.... More

My husband and I had a really fun time with Captain Gaylan and first mate, Kevin, on the Pirate's Penny! We took the classic tour stopping at the Baths, Cooper Island Beach Club for lunch, and the caves at Norman Island for more snorkeling. Since we took this tour on a day when no cruise ships were in port, the... More

We had booked on the Pirates Penny a few days earlier. We checked in with Al and Deena and got underway. Another couple were with us so we had 6 on the boat which can take 12 so it almost like a private charter. The first leg is north past St John and Tortola to a stop in Virgin Gorda... More

Just got back from our trip on the Pirate's Penny, and it was amazing! The trip itself was excellent on its own, but the crew (Alan and Deena) were outstanding, and really made the trip even more enjoyable. They were very knowledgable about the area, and a pleasure to have leading the tour. I know this is cliche, but it's... More

This was a small boat tour (we had 8 on our tour) that stopped in Spanish town, Virgin Gorda, Cooper Island (lunch), and Jost Van Dyke (soggy dollar bar). Its a long ride to BVI so be prepared for that. But well worth it when you reach Virgin Gorda. I would have liked to spend more time snorkeling at Virgin... More

We were looking for a small charter BVI boat trip that took 12 or less passengers without breaking the bank and we found Stormy Petrel / Pirate's Penny after first looking at several others that are more pushed to use by the hotel and/or charter agents in area. Most all of the other charter BVI boat tours they try to... More

We went out with Captain Jug and crew Thomas and had a fabulous time touring the BVI. Stopped at Spanish town for customs, then a wonderful tour from Thomas throughout the magnificent rock formations of the baths. From there to Cooper Island for wonderful relaxed lunch. Then off to the Caves for some fabulous snorkeling before heading back to St.... More
