I along with 2 friends and 3 year old, just returned from vacationing on St Thomas. The last day of our stay we booked a day trip on the Stormy Petrel. We were originally planned (unknowingly) for the Soggy Dollar Bar trip, but was changed because all on the boat wanted more snorkeling. Morning was a trip to the Baths... more

I have to qualify this whole review with the fact that the weather was poor for our trip. Nothing anyone could do about this. But "wow" factor lost fighting cold and rain all day. The staff we had was awesome. Rick, Colin, and Sunny were attentive from the beginning to the end on everything. They are knowledgeable and definitely concerned... more

We just returned from a wonderful vacation in St. Thomas. The highlight of the vacation was our day long tour and snorkel cruise aboard the Stormy Petrel. Captain Galen and first mate, Kristen were wonderful hosts. Capt. Galen told us great stories, legend and history of the islands and took us on a great tour of the Baths. My husband,... more

I recently vacationed in St. John with my family and we booked the Stormy Petrel for the day to visit the BVI's and the Baths. We were NOT disappointed! Captain Eric and Brook, his assistant, were attentive and a lot of fun. We had a great day and visited Virgin Gorda, the Bath's and Cooper Island, as well as stopped... more

After reading all the great reviews on this site we booked a trip on our stay last week in St. Thomas. Overall the trip really is a great experience--you cover a lot of ground in just one day and see some real gems of the Carribean. Most of the reviews on this site are for the Penny Pirate which includes... more

Spent the day on the Stormy Petrel boat which left around 7:30 from Redhook and stopped by St. John. We had 3 in our party, and 11 total on the boat, which at first seemed like a lot, but was much better than the cattle boats that allow 30-40+. We had plenty of room to move around. Day starts by... more

My wife and I just took a trip with Gaylan and Brooke on the Stormy Petrel in early May. This was an awesome trip, exactly what I was looking for. Gaylan (sp?) was a fantastic guide through the BVIs. The Baths are amazing, lunch on Cooper Island was perfect, and The Indians was a great snorkel spot. I highly recommend... more

My wife and I took the day-long tour of the BVI on the Stormy Petrel on July 11, 2007 and could not have enjoyed it more. You meet the boat at 7:30 am in Red Hook, they fill out some paperwork for you, and you head out on the excursion. After a brief stop in Cruz Bay, St. John to... more

If you are visiting the US Virgin Islands, you should plan to do a tour of the British Virgin Islands. We booked a tour through Stormy Petrel / Pirate's Penny (referred by locals) and it was hands down an awesome tour. They will pick up in St. Thomas or St. John's. We departed around 8 AM and returned back to... more
