This was our 5th time to St John. Second group charter. We had a great time. Of course the weather helped. I read some negative reviews that were all weather related. Come on. You can't rate a service because of bad luck. 95 percent of the time the weather is good. We had already done some of the trip 5... More

My fiance and I booked the excursion to the baths, Cooper island and soggy dollar beach. Meagan and jug were the crew and were the best guides/captain I've seen. Not only did the guide us through all the locations but they gave us information on everything and anything along the way. It was quite the education. My fiance isn't a... More

We had a wonderful day on Stormy Petral with Jug and Meagan. Both of them were so informative and enthusiastic. We have taken excursions on other vessels on St. John where we felt the tour operator was bored with the whole thing and just wanted to get us back to shore as soon as possible. Not so with Jug and... More

We went out on Stormy Petrel last week for a day trip to Virgin Gorda. Galen & Meagan did an outstanding job with the trip and the sightseeing. We had so much fun at The Baths and the snorkeling at The Indians was amazing.

Spending the day on the Stormy Petrel was the highlight of my visit to STT. Meagan & Galen (our crew) were absolutely wonderful. They provided top notch service all the way. With their knowledge of the areas visited we learned so much and they were even our own personal guides at Virgin Gorda taking time to lead us through The... More

My wife and I took a day trip from St. John to BVIs on Stormy Petrel (Classic Trip) on a day in late January. We met the boat early one morning at a dock outside of the VI National Park Visitor center in Cruz Bay and were welcomed aboard by Meagan and Captain Jug. The crew was great – friendly,... More

There are so many tours/charters to choose from, and after lots of research, we selected Pirate's Penny, based on their smaller boat (didn't want a "cattle" boat), a motorized trip to the Virgin Gorda baths (a more speedy route vs. a longer ride via sail), a promise to snorkel, and many positive reviews. But our experience was similar to the... More

Galen and Suzanna showed us a most wonderful time. You can read the details from other listings, but the beverages flowed freely and the entertainment was non-stop. We highly recommend this excursion.

We island-hopped with our captain and guide Jug and his assistant Deena from St. John to Virgin Gorda and Jost Van Dyke. First stop was the Baths on Virgin Gorda. Jug gave us an excellent and personal tour through the baths (which are actually volcanic rock formations.) The trek involves a fair amount of strenuous climbing, squeezing through tight spaces... We had a fantastic day with Captain Jug and first mate Kevin. The boat was very comfortable for our group of six. They tailored a perfect mixture of snorkling and bar hopping during our day out. Jug and Kevin are both very intelligent and really made the outing memorable. We will certainly do it again!
