My husband and I had an awesome time! We visited some beautiful beaches and had a lot of great experience at the different BVI bars. Our captain was excellent. I would highly recommend this trip for a laid back day off of the island!

My wife and I chartered a power boat for the day, We're at a conference so we only had a day to catch some of the BVI highlights. The reservation was easy and confirmed by phone and email. We met at the designated marina. The captain and owner greeted us and made us feel welcome. The Captain, Arren McGinness, was profession and friendly. He made suggestions and briefed us on what to expect. He made it clear that he was there to ensure that we have a good time. Boy did we. We hit Soggy Dollar, Sandy Spit, The Indians, Lunch at Pirate's Bight, turtle cove, and a tour around St John's. Amazing that we did all that in a day!.

The boat (Red Beard) was a 2003 but was in excellent shape. Fuel charges were as expected. All in all, trip was much beeter than expected. Capt Arren made the whole trip worth it!

Just got back yesterday from a terrific day on Pirates Paradise Adventures. Melanie who booked our trip checked on the best day to go with weather forecast and she was right on target and picked a day that was beautiful weather wise. She was a pleasure to work with.
Our captain for the day was Arran and he was wonderful. He has lived here 30 years and knows St. Thomas, St. John and the British Virgin Islands like the back of his hand. Not only did he take us to wonderful more secluded snorkeling spots which is what we wanted, he was aware of what times the non charter boats were at each spot and the time they arrive so we were able to have the snorkeling spots pretty much all to ourselves. We can't stand tons of people on a boat where you have other snorkelers you don't know running into you and chasing the sea life away. The day was magnificent this is a can't miss! You can personalize your day instead of going where the mass tour companies take you! Would go again in a minute. Thanks Arran and Melanie for a memorable day.

Best Day in St. Thomas was spent On the Water with Captain Aaron and Pirates Paradise Adventure.

We saw 5 islands in 5 hours. Snorkeled in world class waters and had lunch on Norman Island.

It was by far the highlight of our trip! Call this Captain! You won't be disappointed.

We have now been aboard the Red Beard three times! We should have reviewed it after last year, so this is overdue. Last April my husband and I celebrated 10 years of marriage down in the USVI's and after much research decided to use Pirates Adventures for our day trip through the islands. We wanted to treat ourselves to something fun and unique to celebrate. We got more than we could have imagined. Arran is an amazing Captain, immediately setting you at ease. His unadulterated love for the Islands and easy laugh are instantly contagious. We put ourselves in his hands and let him take us exploring. For our first trip we checked into the BVI's at Jost, then we headed to snorkeling at Diamond Cay, which was like swimming in an aquarium, we then his the Baths at Virgin Gorda. These were amazing to see and explore. Arran never made us feel rushed or hurried, we truly enjoyed the day. We then headed to Pirates Bight on Norman Island, snorkeled a second time at the Caves and ended the night with a cocktail at Pussers. I don't think we have ever been happier than on that day. We left counting the days until we could come back. We just returned from our second trip and of course we spent a day (and an impromptu second day) with Arran aboard the Red Beard. This trip was just as amazing as the first, if not more so. Day one we started out at Jost Van Dyke in White Bay (home of the soggy dollar amongst other bars). We wandered along that beach and over to Ivans. We then headed to Sandy Spit, home of the Corona Commercials and took a swim and a walk around the island. We next headed over to see Nigil at Smugglers Cove, and meeting him is a treat. After that we decided we wanted to head back to White Bay and take in the experience. Arran was so relaxed and easy going, he happily took us back. We spent St. Patricks Day having so much fun, after the afternoon we hit up Pizza Pi which is a pizza place on a ship. By the end of the trip we knew we wanted to spend our last day on the boat. Luckily the boat was free and this time Melanie, who is the owner agreed to come along! We had loved working with Melanie and it was so much fun to be able to include her in the trip. We started out by snorkeling at the Indians, then lunched and chilled at Pirates Bight. We then hit the Willie T a floating boat bar, and more snorkeling at the caves. We ended the night with a drink at Pussers and a quick swim in Maho Bay. It was a perfect end to a wonderful trip. IF you are thinking of renting a boat while down in the USVI/BVI we cannot recommend them enough. If you are on the fence as to whether it's worth it, it is! It will elevate your stay from a vacation to an experience of a lifetime. We are bringing our children next year and cannot wait to introduce then to the magic of Red Beard!

All around awesome experience. Quick highlights - great communication with Melanie the trip coordinator prior to our full day excursion. Our driver, captain Aaron, brought 30 plus years of knowledge and expertise of navigating the usvi and BVI's. He was a lot of fun to spend the day with and incredibly knowledgeable of the areas.
The boat, Red Beard, had twin engines which made for quick travels between sights. It's deep hull made for an enjoyable and minimally bumpy ride. Plenty of space to sit or lay with super comfortable seats.
- private snorkel stop was amazing in crystal clear water.
- soggy dollar bar at Jost van dyke
-best lunch Ever at Norman Island "worth the whole trip alone"
-warning!!! Visiting the baths requires athletic ability. Need to be an ok swimmer :)
- 2nd snorkel stop at the 3 caves on Norman Island with my son was unforgettable
-the cruise home at sunset (5:54pm) closed out one of the top 5 days of my life.
*take a gopro camera if you have one.

We highly recommendable this trip! Our captain, ARRan was such an informative, fun, skilled man. We were in good hands!! We toured, ate, drank and shopped in Jost Van Dyke, Norman Island, Peter Island, St. John and Tortola. We saw a lot of places under new construction due to the devastation from the hurricanes. Shop owners and locals told us their stories about them. Being from Florida we really felt for them. And...... hit every bar on every island and highly recommend this! LOL!

Arran was a fantastic captain and host for our day in BVI. He was easy to find when we arrived at the marina and very welcoming. He took us to some great spots; lunch at Pirates Bight on Norman Island is a must. The Black Beard was a perfect boat for our group of 6. It was the highlight of our St Thomas vacation and can’t wait to do it again.

Couldnt have been any happier with our day on the water with captain Aaron on the blackbeard!! He was a blast, knew all the spots to hit, and very knowledgeable of the islands both U.S. and British. I would highly recommend him and would definitely use him again!!

Aaran took us out for the day on Red Beard and it couldn't have been more fun. He was a total pro - laid back, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. We visited several good snorkeling spots and great bars around Jost Van Dyke, Norman Island and others and just had an all around great time. 10 out of 10, would do it again.
