We just returned from St. Thomas and had a wonderful day at Hull Beach. There was one other family with us on the beach and only a few locals. Fish tacos and beer available at an open air restaurant steps off the beach. Very relaxing and we saw several turtles as we snorkeled. No a large beach, but if you... More

great beach for close to shore snorkeling (for older kids) but not for swimming. very rocky and drops off quick, highly recommend water shoes. docks many boats in water here. sand is very HOT but shade available at trees close by. limited parking but free - very quiet. not really family friendly compared to Magen's bay. bar/restaurant is there.

My husband and I have been to the Caribbean about a dozen times now and we always make a point of going to the Hull Bay Hideaway. It is off the tourist's path and has a laid back, "positive vibration" (in island speak)! This is a spot where you can spend a gorgeous day on the beach under the palms... More

Did a snorkel tour and this was the last stop. Not too bad of a current, a bit colder cause it is the Atlantic side. Saw many sealife and coral. Enjoyed also the small beach and sea glass !

I visited Hull Bay today and it is certainly a dog-friendly beach, but if that's not what you've come for, then skip this one. The bar and restaurant are great, and it's not high traffic, so that might be a reason to stop by too. This beach had lots of trash on it on this particular visit. If you want... More

On a recent cruise stop in St. Thomas, we rented a Jeep and spoke to Ben, the Jeep Rental agent (Just behind the Harley Davidson store). Ben, who is a recent transplant to St. Thomas made several suggestions but said 'You gotta go to Hull Bay for the fish tacos!'. Well, Ben has got it all going on when it... More

"When in Rome, we like to do what the Romans do." When in St Thomas, we want to go where the locals go. The beach was rocky and true to reviews not a place to really swim. We laid on the sand and soaked up some sun. My husband and I went snorkeling here. There was plenty of coral and... More

This beach is close to Magens Bay but has a much different feel to it. There were very few people at this beach when we arrived at lunch time. The harbour had many boats moored in it. The beach is small compared to Magens Bay although the snorkelling is supposed to be better. Is seems a lot less "touristy". It... More

Still definitely off the "tourist" track, Hull Bay perfectly fits the definition of a Caribbean Beach Bar. Covered but outdoors, pool tables, palm trees, "bar" cuisine - what's not to love? The beach is rocky, but lots of shade. This is the one beach on the island where you can surf (kind of). Located on the north side, go past... More

Great place to do night snorkeling, totally different than day snorkeling. Also only place on St. Thomas to go surfing. Its very private, mainly a local hang-out.
