This beach is down by the University. its nice in that its rarely packed but the parking is on the street, there are many locals around which makes one feel like they have to keep their eyes on their valuables. We chose to just venture there with towels. The water is clear and calm like all the other bays but... More

Pros: Free, calm, natural, beautiful, close from town/airport/cruiseship port. Cons: Very close from airport Wow! What a beautiful small beach! I feel bad reviewing this beach, I wouldn't want it to become too popular which would ruin it for the locals. Walkable from the cruise ship port, 7km (a bit more than 4 miles), you walk westbound through the streets... More

You have to take a taxi to this beach, which is about 10 miles or so from the cruise port. DO NOT GET IN A TAXI WITH A BIG GROUP OF PEOPLE. We were basically shoved into one when we got off the ship that said they would take us to this beach but they totally lied and dropped us... More

Located just west of the airport along Brewers Bay Road (Hwy 30) in front of the University of the Virgin Islands, this quiet beach, popular with locals and students, is easy to reach by car, taxi or public transportation (simply take the bus to the University and get off at the end of the line). On a cruise, jn St Thomas for a day. What to do?? Go to Brewer's Beach.... The beach is located close to the University, so has excellent public transport links. We left our cruise ship and strolled into Charlotte Amalie and then picked up a bus for the University. It costs one or two dollars each way and you can't... More

After spending a week on St. Thomas, I can honestly say I loved this beach!!! The water was so calm and crystal clear. It seems no matter when you visit, its NEVER crowded. Barely anyone goes here and the beach is very large so you have plenty of room to yourself! Keep an eye out while swimming as we saw... More

Visited this beach yesterday and it definitely was a locals beach and nice since it wasn't teeming with people. Easy snorkeling spot above the sea grass to see rays and turtles since the water was pretty calm even into the afternoon. There are trucks by the road selling food and drinks and bathrooms for changing. Decent prices and food. We... More

A great place to get away from the crowds. It is a locals beach and it felt like it. But we still had a great time at this beautiful place. We saw quite a few turtles, and even a sting ray hiding in the sand. The water was very calm. Not sure if it was due to the location of... More

Brewers Beach is fabulous. Yes there are locals but also visitors. It is looked after by the University of the Virgin Islands. It is clean and healthy. There are turtles grazing and one morning I saw dolphins playing there. Local fisherman catch frye in their small boats. It is such an unspoiled classic rural Caribbean Scene even though there are...
