Visited this beach yesterday and it definitely was a locals beach and nice since it wasn't teeming with people. Easy snorkeling spot above the sea grass to see rays and turtles since the water was pretty calm even into the afternoon. There are trucks by the road selling food and drinks and bathrooms for changing. Decent prices and food. We... More

A great place to get away from the crowds. It is a locals beach and it felt like it. But we still had a great time at this beautiful place. We saw quite a few turtles, and even a sting ray hiding in the sand. The water was very calm. Not sure if it was due to the location of... More

Brewers Beach is fabulous. Yes there are locals but also visitors. It is looked after by the University of the Virgin Islands. It is clean and healthy. There are turtles grazing and one morning I saw dolphins playing there. Local fisherman catch frye in their small boats. It is such an unspoiled classic rural Caribbean Scene even though there are... We happened upon the bay since the 30th Chili Cook off was hosted here. The water was clear and refreshing. There was plenty of shade from the trees and the restrooms and showers were clean and new.

OK, I may be a bit biased, having lived just above this beach for several years when employed at UVI, but on a recent trip “home,” Brewer’s Bay Beach still warmed my heart. You probably won’t find any tourists here. It is very much a “local’s” place. The water is typically calm and clear. The sand is spectacular and the... More

Love Brewer's Bay - it is by far our favorite St. Thomas beach. Has decent bathrooms, food trucks and lot's of great beachcombing too. Good snorkeling on the left side (as you face the sea) and plenty of shady mangroves to escape the sun!

Brewers Bay is near the airport, but has a very nice westward view out over the Caribbean. We found some good rock formations to snorkel around, ate a lunch of local Jonnie Cake, Passion Fruit juice, Coconut Cake and fresh almonds under a shade tree on one visit, and watched the sun set over the west end of St Thomas... Mostly locals hang out here so a nice place to avoid the massive crowds (like found at Magan's) on cruise ship days. Stunning calm water and the best place to find shells and sea glass that I found on the island. There are a few food truck on the street otherwise bring a cooler.

Stopped here to grab some final afternoon sun, before catching our flight. The beach is very close to the airport. It was basically deserted. (besides the four of us, I think there were 2 or 3 other people on the beach and few people hanging out up near the street.) There are no real amenities to speak of. (there may... More

The beach is excellent white sand. The water is beautiful. There were only three other people. There were two food trucks if you needed something, we did not. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. Recommend highly.
