It is a nice legend, and the view is nice too, but head farther up to Mountain Top and check out the view from there. Nothing compares.

What a great stop while driving around the island. We stopped there on the way to Magan's Bay. It was a great place to take some pictures.

We used Gary Gumbs of TWS Taxi Services to take us on a tour around the island. It was fabulous. The tour lasted two and a half hours and Gary was able to take us to all of the historical sites on St. Thomas as well as the various beaches. We used Gary as our taxi for the remainder of... More

I'm not sure if Drake sat on a park bench across from a paved scenic parking lot, but if you are looking for some good panorama shots this place would be hard to beat.

First off, this is a quite steep trek to get here while driving. For some reason we didn't get that vibe before going here, but we should've assumed when we saw images of the view. There is parking which will get used by tour van and people that can get in the view of a good picture if you're up... More

Drakes Seat has a great and interesting history being that it was, in the 1500s, a chill spot for Sir Francis Drake Drake – yes there is actually a seat - to spy for unsuspecting ships, making their way through the channel, to pillage the island and his own bounty. Expect to see a whole lot of ‘Safari’ trucks stopping... More

This is nothing more than a small parking area on the side of the road across from a bench on a hillside. There was a vendor selling bottled water and soda when we stopped. Its good for a quick stop given the nice view.

A fabled spot, where Sir Francis Drake, the British privateer, got lantern signals from the spot of the seat (above the viewpoint), to raise anchor and attack for booty as unaware frigates sailed north laden with gold and treasures from South America. A short stop on the way to Magen's Bay.

Amazing view of Magen's Bay. At the top of the hill overlooking the neighboring islands is quite a sight to see.

Since when is a road side scenic overlook an official tourist destination? Yes, the view overlooking Magens Bay was pretty, but it is an overlook folks...that is all it is. So stop, look, and then move on.
