Description: Nightwind is a full service day sail and snorkel excursion, sailing to St...
Nightwind is a full service day sail and snorkel excursion, sailing to St John and other small islands suitable for young and old alike. Our niche is private sails for families and groups up to 15 guests. We offer open sails as well for those wishing to meet and sail with new friends. We sail and snorkel at two different locations during our full day sail. Our offerings include continental breakfast, snacks, lunch, dessert and an open bar (something for everyone).Nightwind sails from Sapphire Marina on the East End of St. Thomas close to Red Hook. Captain Rick and First Mate Wes offer top notch personalized service from the moment you step onto the deck of Nightwind. Booking is simple and easy you may book online or for a more person touch you can call and speak with Cathy to confirm your sail on Nightwind.

A great day aboard Nightwinds with Capt. Rick & and 1st mate Deb. Great sail, and fun with them and the other guests. You really need to do this!!! It doesn't get any better in the islands.

Nightwind is an impeccably maintained classic 57’ all-wood yawl based just outside of Red Hook, St.Thomas. Her owner/Captain Rick O’Dell, and first mate Deb, were our hosts for a spectacular day of sailing and snorkeling in St John and its island neighbors. After a brief introduction and orientation, complete with refreshments, we set four sails, in a good 20 knot... More

The day aboard the Nightwind with Captain Rick and Debbie was the height of our trip to the Virgin Islands. Impeccable service, knowledge of the waters, and great equipment made for a lasting experience. Most day sail snorkel trips we have taken in the past had poor snorkeling gear. Captain Rick's were the best with purge valves that ensured we... More

A group of us took this tour a year ago and was so happy with it we did it again this year with a different group. Both groups have told me this was their favorite tour of the cruise. Both tours we went to different locations. The food and service was great and Rick makes you fee so safe! Will... More

We really enjoy sailing on the Nightwind. We have done at least one sail with Rick every year we are in the islands. This year, we had the privilege of sailing five different trips in all kinds of weather - sun and light winds, heavy winds, rain, and even a perfect sailing day. And, yes, we sail. With all four... We chose the Nightwind excursion while we were sailing on the Jewel of the Seas. They were accommodating in helping us arrange taxi transportation to and from the cruise terminal. We typically choose catamaran trips while in port and this was our first sailing excursion. The taxi ride to the marina was short and uneventful. The trip with Captain Rick... More

What a wonderful day on the Yacht Nightwind! Captain Rick and first mate Deb were terrific hosts. Our glasses were never empty and the food was delicious. Snorkeling in deep water was great -- we went to two spot -- both unique and very beautiful. Was the highlight of our vacation! Thanks Rick and Deb!

You must take this day sail - it is the best deal going! Light pastries before you sail, beautifully prepared and delicious lunch, wonderful crew and very safe snorkeling areas. If you want to do a day sail, this is the company to book with! Loved our day with Rick and Wesley!

Large deck. Plenty of room to spread out. We had 6 adults and 6 kiddos ages 5 to 12. Boat is an older wooden boat which was cool. Built in 1955. Downside is the area below deck is not comfortable to hang out. Food was OK. Beer selection is sparse. Frozen drinks and top shelf liquor would have made it... More
