Rain Forest on our Own

There should be a listing of just the Rain Forest, but since there is not, this will work. We drove on Highway 69 south from Cane Bay and then west on 76 toward Frederiksted. We... read more

There should be a listing of just the Rain Forest, but since there is not, this will work. We drove on Highway 69 south from Cane Bay and then west on 76 toward Frederiksted. We went past Country Mini Zoo and Store where we enjoyed a smoothie, and we had lunch at Mt. Pelter Domino Club and fed the pigs.... More

My husband and I had the best beach experience visit Sandy Point beach. The water was so clear that we could see schools of fish swimming by our toes.. What a delight!

.tour took us to Christiansted, St. Croix and Frederiksted St. Croix. We drove on an air conditioned bus and made several stops along the way. We actually drove though the rain forest and stopped ata the top of a mountain for a photo op. It was beautiful. We also stopped along the coast line for wonderful pictures taking. Then we... More

Interesting being in the rain forest except most plants and grass are dead due to the severe drought in St. Croix. Compared to rain forests on other islands the rain forest on St. Croix is a total bust. I'm sure this is a great tour once the severe drought subsides.

It's beautiful up there in the hills of the rain forest and so very interesting and hopeful to see the sustainable farming.

Looked interesting. Worth a drive up if you like animals. They let us just walk around the farm. Might want a 4x4. They had some baby pigs when we visited, very cute.

For a $1 a beer the bartender takes you to the pen and gives you instructions as to how to hold the unopened can to place in the pigs mouth, where the pig proceeds to pierce the... More

Amazing place. I visited with a group of 14 as part of a service trip. They offer summer internships and farm stays. The staff there includes some of the kindest people you'll ever meet. Ask for Shelli. You stay in very comfortable cabanas.
