Great Snorkeling

We snorkeled the pier one morning. There is a lot to see and I am told there are seahorses here but I did not see any. It is worth a trip.

It was where all the happening stuff was, the bars, the rain forest, the restaurants and the beach. All in one.

A long shallow dive that has a never ending supply of fish, octopus and assorted other creatures. The dive can only be done when the cruise ship berth is empty.

Wear water shoes in ocean, rocks will cut up your feet. Beautiful sand. Great drinks at the bars, beautiful water.

The views of the harbor were interesting, with the offshore islands being the best. There is a lot of unique artistic architecture on the shore side, and nothing to distract from the pleasant atmosphere.

It is easy to get to and you can catch a colorful sunset from the pier. The best part is jumping off the pier. It was one of the activities my children loved the most. Even my six year old jumped!

This is definitely worth diving - snorkeling misses so much of what is below this Pier. We saw night divers out there once too - if you're ready for that, this is the place! Go with N2theBlue dive shop.

We walked out to the end of the then empty pier (St Croix is a very quiet island and not many cruise ships come in) and took some wonderful pictures of Frederiksted. Looking over the edge into the clear blue water it's easy to see the ocean life teaming below. We took the opportunity to scuba dive below the pier... More

We stopped to see the town, and were given permission to walk to the end of the pier, since no cruise ships were scheduled. We watched divers and snorkelers, and then visited the dive shop where we found that the pier is a great place to see seahorses.

Have to go when no cruise ships as they are nervous about strange swimmers under them. Lots of fish, beautiful coral, seahorses. Easy to get in and out via ladders 1/2 way down the pier. Favorite spot for divers too!
