Great for Pics and snorkeling

Walking down the Pier and looking back are very strikingly beautiful views and snorkeling around the pilings is fantastic. I love it.

.29 mile long. We snorkeled under it. Unreal.. The coral is so beautiful. Saw a barracuda, sting ray, octopus, and sea horses amongst others. Check it out. N2 the Blue Dive shop is right around the corner.

We visited Fredricksted briefly and walked a short distance up the pier on a day without cruise ships. The town was very quiet. A homeless man was sleeping in the doorway to the bathrooms on the pier, and there was evidence of neglect around the pier.

So much fun to snorkel the pier. The fish and coral were beautiful. This was the best snorkel we did on our vacation, highly recommended.

It was nice with the vendors while the cruise ship was there outside the dock, but the problem was that we weren't able to get into the dock area when the cruise ship was sitting there.

Nice pier to walk out on and look around at the views. We saw people snorkeling and heard it was a great area for this, we could see down into the water some so we understood why

Don't expect a huge coral reef, but some lovely coral formations have formed around the pier pilings and a couple of broken pilings from an old pier destroyed by a hurricane in the late 80s. There are several relatively easy ways to enter the water and get out. Ask someone at N2 the Blue around the corner from the Pier.... More

Don't miss this. Day or night diving, it's fantastic. The right side has sea horses and very shallow columns. Take a boat ride to the end of pier and see turtles, spotted eagle rays and well encrusted pillars. The left side starts as ruble but leads you to the dolphins of the old pier. BEAUTIFUL. Spend some time on the... More

This is where our cruise ship docked and is also a local attraction of sorts. Frederiksted is very quiet compared to the other Caribbean ports we visited. There is a nice beach within walking distance just past the fort. Nobody bothers you so you can simply enjoy the visit.

We thought there might be some charm in Fredriksted, and there are some quaint little streets, but the pier is, well, a pier. No amenities, no shade, just functional.
