Beach is Lovely, Bar/Restaurant are Forgettable

My rating is for the beach, only. The bar/restaurant food are only passable, reflecting that you are "captive" on the island. For example, at most bars Lime/Coconut is $7, but... read more

Water taxi is $5 pp to get you over to the beach. The beach bar has poor service. Not worth the trip over unless you plan on a long beach day. The have a Buffett on Tursday night and wouldn't serve us at the bar until the Buffett started so we left.

I highly recommend the beach area to lovers of sun and sea. Clean beautiful water and gentle surf make for excellent swimming and snorkeling. The bar and food areas are ok-service was spotty but I was there to be in the water. Great for adults and families!

My rating is for the beach, only. The bar/restaurant food are only passable, reflecting that you are "captive" on the island. For example, at most bars Lime/Coconut is $7, but at Protestant Cay they are $10. The food is just not as good as many other places. The beach is very pretty, looking across at the boardwalk and town of... More

Cool place. Anyone can go, although if you arent staying at the hotel, you pay for the tender back and forth. Not sure if I would go here if I wasnt staying at the hotel. Great place to call home for a few days. It was fun to snorkel around the beach. Saw a sea turtle, tons of urchins, giant... More

St. Croix is steeped in history. You expect to see a place with cracks and crumbles. Imperfections are part of the beauty. You don't expect, however, to find a destination beach littered with wrappers, used straws and other bits of garbage. We are repeat visitors, and it's sad to see a favorite place go downhill. Food and food service at... More

Nice place to relax and soak in the rays. Lots of activities. Snorkeling, swimming, paddle boat, kayak and more. Chrystal clear water. Wonderful place to be.

My wife and I took the ferry to go to the beach on Protestant Cay ($5.00 RT). The beach is great, the water crystal clear. There is a restaurant on site if you wish to eat or drink. This was a great day trip.

This is a nice beach to go if you are close to town. A quick $5 ferry rode over in 2 minutes and you are ready to go. The beach offers all amenities, chairs, umbrellas, bathrooms, water toys and a bar/restaurant. I ate at the restaurant and had a hamburger. There were like 6 people on the place and waited... More

This is a beautiful island..only a few min water taxi. Free parking until late afternoon. Water taxi is $5 round trip. There a a restaurant and bar on the island and chair and umbrella rentals. Sea-Doo and water sport rentals as well.never crowded on the beach and the water is warm.

I had difficulty getting info about this beach. I cannot vouch for the Hotel, but the beach bar is a great place, with helpful staff, and a fun place to swim or snorkel. Drinks are $4, to rent a chair is $5, so...we chose the bar. I snorkeled and saw a turtle, sargent major and other fish. Fair amount of... More
