“No much to see here”

The scale house is near the fort in Christiansted, and it contains (drum roll please) an old scale. And an area where miscellaneous trinkets, books, and souvenirs are sold. There is no admission fee that I am aware of, so I guess if you haven't seen an old scale before, stop by and take a look. More

Interesting information but the signage explaining what the space is, is a bit worn out physically and could use a refresher. A little more information (some maps showing where goods being weighed traveled from, perhaps?) might be a nice addition. More

“Old scale house, not much to it”

Part of the water front fort area. Not much to this old building but it gives you an idea of how they weighed what came in. The whole scale house area is about 20ft by 20ft. A couple of things to read about Hamilton and that is about it. More
