We went as a family on the full day snorkel trip to Buck Island. Buck Island is fun and a very interesting place to visit. I would go again but with a different operator. We were scheduled for a 9:30 departure with a 9:15 boarding time. We assumed that meant we needed to be there by 9:30 but that the... More

My husband and I were in St. Croix celebrating our 25th Anniversay. We took two tours with Big Beards which were part of our romance package we agreed upon with our Hotel (The Palms at Pelican Cove). We are so Happy that we did...the Sunset Sail was so wonderful and relaxing we did not want it to end, but when... More

We did a snorkel tour with Big Beards. You will arrive in Frederiksted, and if you want to do a snorkel tour to Buck Island, you have to take a minimum 30 min taxi ride each way to Christiansted. Most of the Buck Island snorkel tours leave from Christiansted. Teroro leaves out of Green Cay.When you get off the ship,... More

We were on a cruise and went on Big Beard's all day snorkel trip. The crew and captain were friendly and helpful and just a lot of fun! There were only about 30 of us on board, so it made for a nice uncrowded snorkel trip. We had plenty of time in the water and then went for lunch. The... More

While visiting St. Croix via cruise ship, I chose to book Big Beards over a ship sponsored excursion because of the great reviews and what I hoped to be a more exclusive experience. This proved not to be the case. Although I enjoyed the actual snorkeling at Buck Island, I was disappointed in the service provided.  The boat was very... More

We did the full day tour and really enjoyed it. The crew guys were well organized, pleasant and very helpful. Buck Island is beautiful. We first landed on a gorgeous sandy beach for 45 minutes of swimming and getting the snorkling gear "tried out". Then we sailed to the east end for 90 minutes of snorkling. It was good: we... More

We went on the full day snorkeling trip to Buck Island. We had never been snorkeling before but we stopped on a beautiful beach to go through the basics which was perfect because we got to practice before we went to the reef. What a great experience! The reef was cool and we spent most of the time in the... More

We went on full day snorkeling tour to Buck Island. Captain Steve and crew member Glen were friendly and fantastic. They came to quick rescue when another passenger was in distress in the water! Lunch was great in a private, shady cove. The passenger ages ranged from 7 to 75 and a good time was had by all! More

We had 20 friends/family in our group ranging in age from 24 - 79. Half of the group had never snorkeled before including 2 people in their 70's. The first stop is at a nice beach and they taught the beginners how to snorkel, it was perfect for them. The 2nd stop was awesome as our guide took us thru... More

Brad, Glen and Marcus sailed us out to Buck Island. We stopped at The Bucaneer to pick up a family (I thought that was very nice) then went on our way. We started on the beach side of Buck Island - it gave enough time for inexperienced snorkelers to get comfortable in the water with the help of crew plus... More
