We dropped into the park center after seeing it for several days from the rented house in which we are staying. The hours are very limited, so when we saw a group of cars parked in front this morning we drove down to visit. When we walked in, the ranger bounded out of a meeting room to greet us. I... More

Anchor Dive Center doesn't have its own TripAdvisor listing, so I'll put in my 2 cents here. I've been diving since 1988, and have many 100s of dives logged throughout the Caribbean, Central America, and Pacific, as well as off the East and West Coasts of the US. In regards to SCUBA diving, St Croix is a hidden gem! It's... More

This was a fantastic kayak tour. We went during the day, which was fascinating. Hot sunny so sun screen is essential. Andy our guide was very informative and knowledgeable about ecology, history and flora/fauna. We loved this! We'd go again! More

Beautiful, peaceful, lovely, interesting. The food and the lodging was nice - but this is one of the natural beauties and the sort of experience that motivates you to take the trouble to go to St Croix at all. More

We did the BioBay tour, with Ty McRae of BushTribe Adventures, bushtribe.com, in the Salt River Bay, and it was one of the most incredible experiences ever! The bay is fascinating, lots of history, but in the evening it comes alive with all kinds of bioluminescent life. It is amazing. Do It! More

This is only open part-time, but worth the trip. The road up to the national park site is rough, and steep dirt road, but the adventurous will be rewarded with a spectacular view. Ask the ranger any question - they are all full of local knowledge, both historic and current. More

Took the Historical tour of the Salt River National Park. Very informative, and mild water with beautiful scenery all around you. It was easy to moderate paddling the whole trip. Tandem, ocean kayaks used, gave you good back support. Bring your sunscreen and a hat. More

We enjoyed kayaking in Salt River Bay and saw big sea turtles and sea birds. We hope it receives enough funding to remain such a beautiful park. More

Kayak rental is the way to go to explore this national park. I agree with other posters that this is not the easiest place to find but if you follow signs for Pirates Taven (yes, without the 'r' but with 'rrrrrr' written above the word!). A short excursion but for those interested in a bit of history, a nice stop. More
