Kayaking the Salt River Bay was the perfect excursion in St. Croix. Everyone loved the bio-luminescent bay (that included all 6 members of our tour and the other 12 people who kayaked that night). The trip was perfect: peddling the kayak made the tour much more enjoyable, hearing the history of the bay area was informative and entertaining, and seeing... More

We went on this trip a little nervous not knowing what to expect since we are not avid Kayakers. Jill and Bryan were absolutely excellent tour guides who were very knowledgeable and patient. They put us at ease. It was amazing they let the children jump in and swim with the Bio fish. We had 11 in our party and... More

We have a family of 4 and visited St. Croix from Florida. We have 2 boys who are 13 and 9. I was doing some research around kayaking bio bay, but I broke my shoulder 4 weeks ago and could not paddle. When I read that Virgin Kayaks had pedal power kayaks I was ecstatic. I thought my family would... More

I took the Salt River Bay kayak tour with my family of four. Bryan, Jill and John were excellent. They provided a great historical lesson about the area. Excellent value for what you pay. Booked it online with no problems. Jill was very responsive in her emails with us. Can't wait to go back and do the bioluminescence tour. Took... More

We took Virgin out for a tour of the bioluminescent bay and it was AWESOME! I highly recommend it! The owners of the company are really cool people who really know they're stuff. The kayaks are pedal operated, so it is easy even for children. Note that they only accept cash or check.

I contacted Jill to schedule our kayak trip and right away it was clear that this was going to be a very good experience. Jill not only scheduled our trip, she helped plan for dinner because some restaurants in the area wouldn't be open the day of our trip, this was very helpful. In our follow-up email, she also included... More

Our group of 8 did the Salt River Bay kayak trip as a "shore excursion" on our cruise last week and we all absolutely loved it. They are not an official cruise tour but we had absolutely no problems with setting up the tour, arriving at their location (we used their recommended cab driver service from the cruise terminal), and... We had a great time with Jill and Bryan from Virgin Kayak. We booked the bioluminescence tour and our family of 5 loved it. You power the kayak using your legs rather than your arms which is so much easier than traditional paddling! It's hard for me to explain how easy it is, but the guides demonstrate the process well... My wife, our two children, and I took the BioBay tour a couple weeks ago. There is nothing else like it. The night begins with a paddle/pedal through a graveyard of abandoned pleasure boats. Then you follow a mangrove coast up to the entrance into the bio bay as darkness falls. When you reach a certain point, Brian ( lead... More
