Hike to Isaac Bay

As if the views from Point Udall wasn't enough, we walked down to Isaac Bay from there and spent the afternoon on a nearly deserted, amazing beach.

This site has breathtaking fantastic 360 deg views of the surrounding cliffs , shoreline and lush landscape. The pictures here are pretty sweet and awesome to show off. The monument at the top was laid just this year and is amazing to stand there at the top of the world. It's a must see location.

How can you resist a 6:50 sunrise? It was something to do and then write home about. Opportunities for pictures, too. Good place to begin your hike to Isaac Bay.

Point Udall is kinda cool in that you are on the Eastern most part of the US, which means you have to go during sunrise.

Well worth the drive. Point Udall is the easternmost point in the US. Great views and hiking trails. I can only imagine what a sunrise would look like from this point. Great views of buck island. Take the drive to see it for yourself.

Quick stop before driving back down the road a block or two to park at the pullout for jack and Isaac's beaches. I liked how the monument is a sundial.

You drive up a pretty decent hill to get here which makes coming here even more worth it because of the view. There is a little sign that explains things.

We woke up early and made the drive this morning... it was so worth it! My husband was not very keen on making the trek but he even admitted he was glad we went, as it was so beautiful. We were hoping to make a day of it to snorkel by Isaac's or Jack's Bay but the waves were crashing... More

Just the drive alone is worth the trip. Traveling on the northern side of the island with nothing but water on your left! You also get to see the radio telescope on your way and if you're observant see an exotic villa atop a high hill where a Countessa used to live (across from St. Croix Yacht Club.
