Description: BIOLUMINESCENT BAY TOURS in the only clear kayaks on St. Croix, U.S...
BIOLUMINESCENT BAY TOURS in the only clear kayaks on St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands and only one of two operators using clear kayaks in the world. Visit our bay at Salt River National Park which is currently being studied by the National Park Service and Dr. Michael Latz of Scripps Institute California. Experience the bay that the scientific community was unaware existed until a year ago and now is being called possibly the best of the six or seven year round bioluminescent bays in the world. Our see through boats are the best way to view this definitely better than swimming through it. Father and son owned business by lifelong residents. Also check out our morning tour and nighttime "Creepy Crawler Critter Hunt" at Altona Lagoon.

Awesome, big fun experience! Well run and they care about the environment and you. We gathered roadside and after a brief paddling lesson and explanation were launched one at a time. There were all double kayaks in our group. They make sure you're safe getting in and out. Each one is lit so you can find your group and leaders... More

Took the nighttime bioluminescence kayak tour on Salt River National Park. Kayaking was easy in the still waters for us (ages 58, 74). Kayaks are double seaters, so you learn to paddle with your partner. The see-through boats make a big difference from other kayaks because the lights are all around and under you! The Tour staff are very friendly,... More

Just like all of the reviews. The Bio tour is freaking awesome! We made reservations that day(space limited) and we're excited. We got to the put in and were greeted by the nicest people. The two women who led the tour were very knowledgeable and nice. The guy was way better in person than on the phone and really was... More

We went on the evening tour. Our guides, Sue and Michelle, were great - patient, helpful and knowledgeable. Craig, the owner, got us safely in and out, and knew how to assist those who needed extra help. The red worm show was a surprise bonus, and the bioluminescence in the dark was an amazing phenomenon.

What a great experience and a MUST see if you've never done a bioluminescence tour. You're able to spend a great amount of time in the bay and the guides are great and very knowledgeable. See through kayaks are the way to go! Few heads up: no bug spray to protect the ecosystem. Wear clothing you don't mind getting wet.... More

Finding the starting point a challenge, but after that no worries. You have a few minutes once you get into your kayak to practice paddeling. Only 2 person Kayaks. If you want to see the bioluminescence than you MUST do it in a sea thru kayak. As you travel in the bay you look down and feel like you are... More

My wife and I have kayaked with this outfitter before and loved it; however, we had never gone on the bioluminescent tour until our most recent stay, and we are SOOOOO GLAD that we did! It was one of the most memorable and beautiful activities that we have ever participated in during all of our travels anywhere thus far!! We... More

A definite 'must do' on St Croix. If you've never seen bioluminescence in nature, don't pass up the opportunity. The see thru kayaks are the only way to really appreciate the sparkling plankton. As you whizz by they light up like the Galaxy under your kayak. Paddling in the bay at night and seeing the night sky in itself is... More

My first time on a kayak , so I was really pumped up; it was fun and easy to learn to paddle. Was so exciting to see the water start to 'light' up as we paddled. Was even cooler looking down through the boat seeing streaks of light passing under your body like your warping through space. We had a... More
