We took the Tan Tan jeep tour (which was way too scary and I wouldn't do it again - that jeep tour is only for the very adventurous!). But the tide pools were nice. You need water shoes because you have to scale around a large boulder to get there. It's slippery and dangerous but the Tan Tan operator helped... More

These tide pools were incredible!!! It's a two mile hike (not the easiest) on a foot trail, but it is so worth it! The view of Analy Bay once at the end and jumping in the tide pools made it so worth it! We were unaware that you weren't supposed to get in the second tide pool because of sea... More

We climbed into this attraction as part of our Tan Tan Tours (see our photos & review there). Slippery slopes, take shoes with traction and swimwear. It really helps to have local drivers for guides. The huge singular pool outshined many foot-wide tidal ponds recalled from childhood Golden books. Waves crashing over the rocks is a thrilling sight, marine life... More

We hiked from the Renaissance Hotel and did it early in the morning. I was a little nervous about the hike based on the mixed reviews it has gotten, but it really wasn't bad. We are fairly active & it only took about 30 minutes to get down to the beach. Once there, the tide was very high, so the... More

The hike from the resort is not super easy and the ants along the way are a nuisance, but the tidal pools are an experience and if you are lucky to have them to yourselves it is truly a unique day.

If you are adventurous, don't mind a somewhat strenuous hike, and climbing around rocks, then you will love the tidal pools. The ocean was rough the day we went which made it harder getting from the rock beach over to them.

Definitely worth the hike to get out there. My husband, 7 year old son, and I enjoyed the hike and spent a solid 90 minutes exploring the tide pools. I was a little apprehensive about taking a young kid out there after reading some of the other reviews, but it was fine. Yes, there are some steep inclines, and the... More

We visited the tide pools as part of a tour with Tan Tan Tours. The pools were well off the beaten path. It was a fun adventure getting to them. Once we arrived on the beach we had to traverse some boulders and a rock wall to get to the tide pools. It wasn't difficult but not easy. The pools... More

This is a fun hike not for the weak hearted. It's about 2 miles there and 2 miles back. Part is shady and the rest is not...so wear sunscreen and bug spray. It's got an incline so proper shoes are important. If you forgot tennis shoes, consider borrowing booties from Sweet Bottom Dive shop- I did that and it was... More

It's not as bad of a hike as may seem. Go to the tide pool during high tide, you will not be disappointed.
