We were in St. Croix on a port visit. Selected the "Cay Beach Break" excursion so we could go snorkeling from a beach. We were very disappointed. Even though the beach was nice it was only about 30 yards to the many private boats at anchor. The only possible snorkeling was around the other side of the island, but the... More

Nice craftsmen makes and sells mahogany wood items. Everything from small magnets to large coffee tables. This is up in the rain forest, the signs are small. If you are in the area to see the pigs you might as well stop.

This place is not your typical stop. From Christianstead travel to Mahogany Road. A little past the bar where the drinking pigs are you will see a house on your left with an unpainted picket fence. Turn left on the small road and you will see some small signs about LEAP. Follow the road and enjoy the beautiful vines. We... More

I go to STX almost every year and this is my best find. I happened upon it accidentally. It is a clothing and accessories store. The clothing is funky and mostly patchwork. I bought 3 outfits. The accessories are even better because they are laid out on table by color so you just go to the color you're looking for.... More

It's off Mahogany Road west of the Domino Club. The signs aren't great (welcome to STX!) so watch carefully. The driveway's on the south side of the road and you take the right fork to get there. The workshop is built into the hillside and they have bats there... They also have amazing works of master artistry using only fallen... More

IF you can find the place (you need 4x4 to get there), you'll likely think you're in the wrong place at first. It's a big open barn, essentially, with tools all over. This is a working wood shop, not exactly a store/shop. But... get out and take a look around. The guy will point out the mahogany trees and show... More

Yup, as the previous poster noted, this is a shack up a hill where the guy walks around uncovering the tables and such for you to take a look at. There isn't much for sale that you can fit in a suitcase to take home with you but the table tops are stunning. I wish someone would come in and... More

We found the location easily and saw the sign clearly, then traveled up the short bumpy driveway through some cool hanging vines. When we got to the end, there was a run-down house and workshop that looked uninhabited. We knew this had to be it (there were no turnoffs on the driveway and the sign said this way) but we almost... More

Don't be scared away by appearances. They have some beautiful pieces of wood crafted from native woods as a very reasonable price. You'll need to ask to be shown around as the work shop is a mess!!!! My wife purchased a small cheese cutting board and would have gotten a picture frame if we could have figured out how to... More
