decent layout, approx 6850 from back tees, quite a few holes with carries over water to green, hilly and a tough course to walk with pull cart. not in great shape with grass over running the sand in most of the bunkers, slooow greens. certainly not an easy course, quite enjoyable. if you need a golf fix on an actual... If you want to feel like you have your own private course all to yourself. Beautifully manicured and a great course. Then Carambola's a must if your visiting St.Croix.

I have played this course many times in the course of 6 visits to the island, most recently in 2/14. I always look forward to the experience and my last trip did not disappoint. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the course. It features 4 or 5 sets of tees and accommodates players of every skill level. I had a... More

One of only two 18 hole layouts on the island and the only one of championship length is a Robert Trent Jones, Jr., design that has plenty of challenge for low handicaps, but requires a substantial amount of forced carries over gaping ravines and water hazards that will have higher handicappers reaching for reloads. Unfortunately, the maintenance was uneven when... More

The course is well designed and scenic. But it is in a rainforest, and it has grossly inadequate drainage. Conditions ranged from soggy to submerged. The fairways were rutted because there are no cart paths over much of the course. Greens were shaggy-- about what I'd expect from a "Scotch green" used for winter play up North. Traveling to the... This golf course was a nice change fo me to play. Being from Florida I tend to play flat courses. Carambola has some nice rolling fairways and some challenging water holes. The rental clubs were pretty good but a little pricey. Definately worth the play.

During our week-long vacation, we had many fun-filled activities. We carved out just one day for playing golf at Carambola Golf Club. The manager, David, was very nice and got us right in for an 8:00am tee time. When we arrived, he had our cart loaded with our rental clubs, and with a cooler full of ice! What service! The... More

I was on a cruise and drove up to Carambola and played 18. The only thing odd was that the course was so empty in the off season - but I don't mind 3 hour rounds! Everyone from the guard at the gate to the folks in the pro shop were awesome.

St Croix is in a drought and it really showed at the Carambola Golf Course. March is usually lush and tropical here but the weather patterns havent been nice to the west "wet" side of the island. It was deserted with only a few players out, it was dry as a bone except for the irrigated greens and it was... More

I was hoping to post just for the restuarant but could only find the Golf Club in general. For those who want to know about lunch, the food was good. They did a very nice hamberger with slices of onions grilled. The burger itself was ground chuck and must have been at least a half pound. A person in the... More
