Located on St. Croix's north shore, the waters are not always gentle along this palm-tree-lined beach, but scuba diving and snorkeling are very popular here where less than 200 yards out is the drop-off called Cane Bay Wall.

The beach here is not groomed, but is naturally good sand with enough shade to be able to hide when you need to. It is far enough from town to be lightly used except on weekends. There is no reef, but there is an incredible drop-off if you care to go out far enough. They call it "the wall". The... More

When traveling to St. Croix, it would be well worth the time to schedule Cane Bay in --at least for a morning as the waves (and the tourists) tend to pick up as the day goes on. Sometimes it can be quite wavy and not really good for snorkelling, but if that's the case, stop by EAT@CANE BAY for a... More

Cane Bay is a beautiful Caribbean beach. Unfortunately, the week we were there, the winds were high. Thus, the waves were also high and the snorkeling was not what I had hoped it would be. I did talk to scuba diver who said the diving around "the wall" was spectacular.

We visited this beach with no expectations at all. Our first thought when we arrived was that the beach itself was small and more an average type beach. We parked ourselves and before long we realized this area was more for snorkelers with a reef quite far out (300 feet?) that one can enjoy. It went as deep as 30ft.... More

We hung out on the beach on our cruise ship towels under the shade of the palm trees. Part of our group took a resort course scuba diving and the rest of us snorkeled. We had the scuba shop give us snorkel suggestions which really helped to know where to go. We went out to about 30 ft deep and... More

We had a great time at this beach. There are sunny and shade areas. The water was warm. We got great drinks from Eat. We were going to eat there but they closed early on Sunday. There is a nice sandy beach to walk on. The power went out for a little while but a tent was set up and... More

Shaded areas and restaurant and bar on beach. Bay can be calm but day we visited there were waves. Need water shoes. Saw several sea turtles while standing in the water.

The beach is not real big but it is nice and when the water is calmer then when we were there we heard that the snorkeling is great. It was very wavy when we were there so you could not see the bottom as clearly. There are spots down the way where you can sort of seclude yourself from others... More

We went to Cane Bay hoping to do some snorkeling and to relax on the beach. Unfortunately, the day we were there, the visibility was virtually non-existent, and the beach was reduced to a narrow sliver. We heard that the water visibility was unusually poor on the day we went, so we're hoping to try again another time.
