My family and I (my wife, my daughter and her fiancé, my other daughter, my mother (76) and myself) charted a 30ft Power cat for a full day on Christmas. On the morning of our trip we were concerned about the weather - high winds and overcast. We originally hoped to snorkel the north reef and go cliff jumping however the winds made these options impossible. The day could have been disappointing, however, our crew – Mike and Jake - made the day great! They helped us make a new plan and we had an amazing day. We went snorkeling in the mangroves and out by the shipwreck. They also took us to see Iguana Island where we had an amazing lunch! The breakfast and lunch food was high quality and delicious (we did the Italian option with pesto chicken and caprese salad). The rum punch was amazing and so was the local beer. We ended our day with being pulled by the boat on Subwings – boards that make you feel like you are a dolphin flying under water. They were so much fun!

We highly recommend Big Blue if you are interested in a charter. When we saw other boats we realized how much better our charter was – worth every penny! The 30ft Power Cat was new, clean and in perfect shape. We cannot say enough about the crew –Mike and Jake. They were knowledgeable, helpful and funny. We did not stop laughing the entire time were on the water. They were great! Thank you for making Christmas 2019 one we will never forget!

My husband and I were in Provo for a long weekend and we were very keen to go kitesurfing. This was our third time on the island and we wanted to explore a different kite spot (we always go to Long Bay). I emailed a couple of different kite schools and I am so happy to find Duncan from Big Blue collective. I must have sent him 100 emails lol, asking about the spots, the conditions and wind forecast. When the wind forecast dropped the one day and became unpredictable the next , I was worried that our kiting trip would be cancelled but Duncan made it happen. It was our last full day on the island and we launched off Emerald Point to go upwind to Halfmoon bay and back. The wind was very gusty and we had to get across an area with large swells but Duncan gave very good instructions and showed us the way to Halfmoon Bay. We had a lot of fun even though the wind was crazy - gusting to 25+ knots. I managed to try some new tricks as we kited along some butter flat water. It’s definitely the highlight of our trip. Thank you Duncan for showing us a good time and being so professional and kind! Hope to see you around in the future.

We did a half day private charter on a 30ft boat and it exceeded all expectations!! The boat was larger and nicer than expected, good food, GREAT crew! When booking I said our goal was to see whales and it would be a dream come true to be able to snorkel with them. They paired us with Lee and Debbie who were perfect! Both super knowledgeable about marine life and very attentive to ensure we had a great day! After not finding any whales we had a great snorkel and were still very happy with the day then on our way back Lee spotted a momma and calf slowly moving up the coast. He was able to get us ahead of their path and get in the water to watch as they passed by. It was an incredibly unbelievable experience!! I also very much respect they put the animals first to ensure they did not seem stressed or agitated before allowing us to observe from in the water. I could not be more thankful for Lee and Debbie for giving us such a wonderful day and once in a lifetime experience!

Find another provider! This business is not in the service industry. They frankly don’t seem to care at all.
This “business” won’t take reservations except if you are going on a tour. You are supposed to call for “rental” availability at 7a and then drive to the location only to then find out if they have kayaks or paddles available. They won’t even take a reservation if you call and are on the way. Other reviewers besides us were turned away. Ridiculous!!!
Our experience:
We drove there after calling at 9:00am ( we didn’t know about the 7am option at first) and got the “show up and see what we have” story line. It didn’t make sense to me so we went in person to check. Since we made the effort to go there at 9:30and all they said was call/come back at 12, We waited in the area by driving around the residential neighborhood and snorkeling off the rock walls (no reef but some fish, etc). I called again at 11:30 and they said maybe kayaks available around 12 but no guarantees and still no reservations possible!
NOTE: You can’t paddle at low tide!!!!

Hoping we would get to rent the kayak,
We got a bite to eat at the Blue Haven resort nearby. There was a small cafe with some food and supplies.
When we arrived a Big Blue Collective we were told to sit and wait until they were available to sign us up. It was a long wait before we got out of the office and into the kayaks (one hour +\-). $35per hour for a tandem kayak which we felt was fair.
So, since it was low tide by now we couldn’t get into the mangroves at all. The mangroves are a big part of the things to do on the kayak or paddle so it basically meant half our trip was inaccessible. We went to see Iguana Island aka Little Water Cay. They were really cool to see. The desk staff didn’t tell us about the tide issue but the kids on the dock did explain it.
The young kids who set us up in the kayak were lovely, polite and helpful. (Thus the two stars.)I can’t say the same for the desk staff.
There must be a better option.

We went on 2 trips with Big Blue Collective. The kayak trip was very disappointing. The trip itself is fine and we did see a small shark, turtle, green heron and lots of little fish in the mangroves. However, we then went to iguana island for much longer than it takes to admire the iguanas and the “guide” knew next to nothing about everything. I asked him what kind of iguanas these were and he seemed to have not considered that there might be more than one kind and then answered “green” which are the invasive ones they are trying to keep off TCI (rock iguana is the right answer). Then, we hung around for an uncomfortably long period of time before heading back. In the meantime, the tide went all the way out so we had to walk the kayaks s several hundred yards through the gloppy bottom undoubtedly disturbing all the “eco” of which Big Blue touts. It was the worst of these kinds of trips I’ve ever taken. The guide did not act as a group leader or as a naturalist. He's not ready to handle groups on his own.

BB redeemed themselves on the snorkel trip which again unfortunately involves yet another tour of iguana island. The guide was very good with the boat, the surf conditions, and the eco-facts. It was clear that the short snorkel on the reef was iffy on this windy day and we really appreciated that the guide made that happen. We went four spots on this trip plus a tour of the leeward canal homes while relaxing with a rum punch!

Wife and I went out on an all day snorkeling/adventure tour. While en route to West Caicos our awesome captain Cole spotted Humpbacks! Her knowledge of their behavior and excellent piloting skills allowed us to get up close enough for our other awesome guide Tom to lead us into the water to snorkel with them! After having an unbelievable experience we took off again only to spot a group of dolphins that we were able to get close to. They started playing with the boat as we traveled then stuck around when we stopped, allowing us to get in the water and swim with them in their own environment. We then traveled to West Caicos where they fed us lunch and did more snorkeling, cliff jumping and exploring the "wall"!
I cannot recommend this experience any more. And once again a giant thank you to Cole and Tom!!!

Captain Roger put together an incredible afternoon on what otherwise was a windy day. We did a private half day charter with a bit of snorkeling (too windy for more), a trip to Pine Cay (the most beautiful secluded beach, and a sunset cruise past the shipwreck. Made an incredible memory for my family and I. Highly recommend.

Kite surfing with "insert name" was better than expected. At first, I was nervous about going into the water because I am not the best swimmer. However, our instructor made us feel so comfortable and safe. When we first arrived he gave explained the details about kite surfing and even how to set up our own kite! Then we were able to spend a large amount of time learning to fly a kite. Even when we would make a mistake our instructor was fun and would encourage us to keep trying.

This is a must-do activity in Turks and Caicos! You will not regret it!

We had a great afternoon on the world cat with Big Blue Collective. Our group had shrunk a bit due to work commitments, and they were so accommodating in putting us in a smaller vessel. The weather had been a little tricky, but Jake and Cole found beautifully calm seas and brought us to an amazing snorkel spot at Bird Cay. There were tons of fish and plenty to see. We got to subwing, which was an absolute blast, and still had time to go to the ship in Long Bay to jump off into the water.

Big Blue’s staff, Cole and Jake, were very knowledgeable, lots of fun, and made sure we had an amazing time! They were absolutely top notch and I would highly recommend this tour to visitors or locals alike. We loved it and would do it again and again!

My family and I just got back from an amazing trip to Turks and Caicos and the highlight was certainly the day we spent on the water on the Serenity. It was the perfect day. Captain Mark and Charlie were the best crew ever. We charter yachts very often and this trip was one of the best if not the best out of our over a hundred charters. The weather was great but Charlie's positive demeanor would have made a rainy day fun! My kids (13,11, 7) are not that adventurous they prefer city, shopping and wifi over just about anything else. They all went snorkeling a few times that day. We saw whales, dolphins etc.. I highly recommend this charter. great value great peeps great time!
