Taylor Bay has the prettiest, crystal-clear water I have ever seen. Very peaceful; amazing how far you are able to walk out!

Taylor Bay was a little hard to find, but that's kind of a good thing because it was also fairly secluded and not packed with people! The very cool thing about Taylor Bay is that you can walk at least a football field before the (crystal clear) water hits your knees! A perfect place to try to paddle board or... More

This is a great secluded beach area, where the water is warm, clear and SHALLOW. When I say shallow, I mean it's only a few feet deep for about 200 yards off shore. If you happen to have a blow up raft, it would be a great beach to use it. You could literally float in this bay all day... More

It's like you've died and gone to heaven! I loved the calmness and beauty of this place. I dream about it. You can walk out for hundreds of feet in clear water until you see deep, deep blue and then you know there is no bottom. It's a wild experience, feels like the abyss. Can't wait to return!

Once you find it the first time, you will surely go back. Bath water temperature, and waist deep for an entire kilometre out. A must-see.

I've held onto a travel magazine, with a photo of a lady floating on a hot pink raft in crystal clear waters for 15 years. This month my biggest dream became a reality. I can not say enough wonderful things about this most pristine beach. It is in a public cove with beach houses all along. Do not go to... More

We found the beach access difficult to locate due to poor directions in Fodor's guide book. From Chalk Sound Drive, turn left on Ocean Drive Cl. A quarter mile up the road, there are two small boulders marking the entrance to a short sandy path to the beach. You can park on Ocean Drive Cl., however there is a "no... More

Hard to get to...but, worth it. You can walk out 100+ yards into waist deep crystal clear, calm water.

This is a hidden gem. I've never seen a beach like this - kids will love it. It's sooooo shallow. Bring snacks, drinks and shade if you stay a while. It's a good afternoon or morning trip.
