My kids love everything about the undersea world, especially mermaids, but are too young to be able to snorkel just yet so we thought this would be a fun way to let them experience a coral reef, with an added element of a mermaid. We were afraid it was going to be a bit hokey, as we aren't crazy about... More

We've done the Undersea Explorer twice now and loved both times. We went in January two years in a row and took our now 4 and 7 year old kids. What a fantastic time and the kids (and adults) loved it. We stayed at the Beaches resort and it's a quick drive to the marina. Great activity to do off... More

Just took the turtle tour today and it was fantastic. Our 5 and 7 year old loved it and saw quite a variety of fish and over 20 turtles. Captain Alastair and guide Coral were very friendly and informative. The boat and equipment are in great shape unlike some other boats used for tours. This tour is great for adults... More

We realllllly enjoyed this tour. The captain and the tour guide were spectacular. We "chased" a barracuda because she could see it and relayed the info upstairs so we could follow it. Very knowledgeable about what we were seeing. We didn't want it to end. It is well worth the price and if we go back, we'll take this tour... More

This was our second vacation to Turks. Our son is now 2 1/2. We took him on the first trip but he was too young to enjoy it. This time he LOVED it! The captain was great and the tour guide below the boat was very helpful spotting fish, turtles, sting rays, etc. I would highly recommend this 1 hour... More

This tour had something for everyone! We saw plenty of jellyfish and sea turtles, plus two rays, several reefs, and lots of tropical fish. We also had a special visit from the mermaid, Bella. This small operation goes out of its way to offer a memorable experience. I especially recommend going during the heat of the day. You'll be cool... More

This tour was absolutely amazing, spectacular, great value for money, and loads of fun! My extended family and I travel annually to the Turks and Caicos and we always take a trip on the Undersea Explorer. It never fails to fulfill our expectations! The staff members are always bright, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating! We always see a variety of sea... More

$260 for 2 adults and 2 kids - overpriced for the experience in my opinion. I didn't have a great experience. When we first went downstairs to the submarine part of the boat I though the fumes from the engine were pretty strong but it didn't seem to be bothering anyone else so I just tried to ignore it. I... Thank you for your comments and I am sorry that you did not appear to enjoy the tour. You were obviously doing the Mermaid Adventure to indulge your children's fantasies so I was pleased to read that they enjoyed it. However, I would just comment that the exhaust fumes from the generator do not go anywhere near the air conditioning... More

The tour was ok, but the price was way too high at $70 each for adults. I would spend your money elsewhere and recommend the 1/2 day snorkel tours. Undersea Explorer is geared towards very young children and to me, was a complete waste of time and money.

Thank you for your comments and we do know that we are never going to please everyone; I am sorry that you did not appear to enjoy the semi-submarine tour, but the tours are aimed at trying to please as many people as possible. This is why there are 2 different tours, the Mermaid Adventure and the Turtle Reef Adventure.... More
