The sound is beautiful to see with it's turquoise water but not for swimming. Sopadilla beach is the place to go and swim there apparently but didn't make it there.

The conch and all the seafood was to die for! We had lobster and halibut as well. The drinks and service were great as well..Was wonderful to dine on the beach and watch the harvesting of the conch.

We took a drive out here one day before getting groceries. The views of most beautiful blue waters are stunning. We never did find access to the water as they are building homes on the road but I still think the little scenic drive was well worth it.

worth a drive to see the views of nature and the homes that surround it. Also able to see how locals live nearby.

If you have a chance, drive on over to Chalk Sound. The color of the water (which changes every moment, it seems) is something I've never seen before. It's worth it just for the views! We stopped at Las Brisas and rented kayaks. It was a really windy day and they did warn us it would be a tough paddle.... More

This is perhaps the most stunningly beautiful body of water I've seen. The turquoise colour has to be seen to be believed.

Amazing body of water with little islands studding the lake. Kayaks and boat trips on the Sound available at Las Brisas restaurant. Not good visibility for snorkeling but fun to see little lizards on one of the islands.
