I read about this place online and had it on our "places to go" list. It was a bit of drive to get there, and because there was no sign says "Chalk Sound", we thought that we were lost for a while. We ended up asking the local folks for a direction. They gave us a very general direction, but... More

Amazing water color I am not sure I have ever seen before. We did not figure out how to get onto or into the water, though, but we did enjoy the drive around the area and seeing some very impressive homes. We'll figure out how to get on the water next time....

Absolutely breathtaking. A must see. A great place to Kayak and be away from the crowds. I would definitely make it part of your itinerary.

The color of the water is unbelievable and my camera did not do the turquoise waters justice. We only found one place to pull over to see the water so aim assuming that we missed the beach if there is one. You must take a drive to see Chalk Sound. You will jog be disappointed.

The color of the water in Chalk Sound is like no other body of water I have seen, beautiful! Book a ride on a pontoon from Las Brisas and check it out. They provided gear to snorkel at a couple of spots including an small airplane crash site. Oh yes and the Iguana Island of Chalk Sound has more Iguana's... More

The water in Chalk Sound is completely different than the rest of the island. I have never seen anything like that before. Would be nice if they could clean up all the brush in the area.

the water was phenominal. There's really no parking per se, we ended up parking where we could a and got some pictures but it's moreso a driving view becuase it's hard to actually find a place to go into the water or a beach to visit

The views from the cliffs above chalk sound are the best scenic views on the island. The water is teal and with the islands in it is really gorgeous. I didn't see a way into the water as this is more of a thing to see than a thing to do.
