Beautiful view, loved that the water was very still, perfect for myself who is not a strong swimmer. We even saw a turtle swimming in the water.

There is no real place to swim here, you can enjoy it by looking at it and taking pictures of the amazing color. There are limited viewing points since it is almost totally surrounded by private residences.

We rented a car and drove over to the Chalk Sound area. The water color is so unusually turquoise. I've never seen water that color!

Don't miss an evening at Las Brisas on Chalk Sound, where the water's color is quite different from its mineral content...book a table at sunset if possible....

Grace Bay and the other beaches are so spectacular that I was skeptical when I heard Chalk Sound is a "must see" (why leave paradise to see something else?), but it's definitely worth the trip. We rented scooters and had a wonderful lunch at a restaurant right on the Sound.

We happened upon this beautiful beach, Taylor Bay, and it was the perfect location for our two small (3 and 5yrs old) grandchildren. You can walk out for a 100 yards and only be thigh deep on a perfectly sandy base. We returned two more times during our 8-day stay.

Chalk sound offers stunning colors and some fun kayaking, howerver it is not the greatest place for swimming due to the sharp limestone rocks and chalking sand/soil. However, Taylor Bay and Sapodilla Bay are located in very close proximity to the Chalk Sound and they offer very nice beach with a fraction of the Grace Bay crowds!

Gorgeous color blue, went swimming here with my wife and were the only two people in sight! Worth the visit.

Absolutely loved Chalk Sound. The water here is so blue / turquoise it must be seen. We drove up along here and stopped at an open area off the main road and went in for a swim. We didn't see any sandy beach areas, just put our stuff on the side of the rocks... Be careful as they can be... More
