Arrived on a cruise ship & all we did was explore, lay on the beach, swim & play in the sand! A perfect day! My 3 yr old son loved building castles and playing in the surf. Will return as soon as we can.

Was disappointed when we got off the cruise ship! The water was blue & beautiful & beaches very pretty & white! There is nothing there to do except lay on the beach! You can rent snorkel equipment. There are a few tourists shops but not much to offer! I'm sure there is more to do on other parts of the...

We were disappointed that our "Reefs and Rays" excursion got canceled for Grand Turk prior to arrival and just decided to stay at the cruise ship terminal, which turned out to be the funnest least expensive beach day of our entire cruise. There is a lot to be said in enjoying the simple things in life (such as lounging and...

Yes, the shops and the beach are a short walk from the ship. I would advise wearing water shoes as the water has old coral at the bottom and is very hard to walk on with bare feet. The best for us was the Margaritaville bar and pool. The food and drinks were great. The huge pool was a welcome...

Make sure you get off the ship, take a shore excursion, this little island has a special place in my heart. Music in port, tons of shopping deals, and several places to grab a bite! We took a catamaran tour with Oasis Divers, it was amazing....unlimited rum punch (after the snorkeling) and an awesome beach party. This is something my...

In March of this year we cruised the Caribbean on the Holland America line The Westerdamn what a fantastic ship. After many stops we arrived at Grand Turk where there is a very modern terminal with a number of shops. I must say that the beach is incrediblen pure white sand and clear water. Apart from watersports there is very...

The coral reefs are simply breath taking. Even if you have not snorkeled before - this is the place and the chance to do so. The cruise ship docks within steps of the beach and just short walk to the shopping district. The area was bad hit by a huricane a few years back and is still in recovery in...

After walking around the terminal with friends, we planned on going to Margaritaville for a Margarita . . .of course. Well, it is quite colorful, the music was great, but we couldn't get anyone to wait on us after we sat down. We waited for 20 minutes and saw the help walking around and doing little. We could not get...

We had stayed in the Grand Turks previously for a week and had enjoyed the third largest barrier reef, walking on the beach around Grace Bay, Jo-Jo the dolphin, the conch farm, and the unique experience of driving on the left hand side of the road (British roadways). Using a suggestion from the cruise mates forum http://www.cruisemates.com/forum/ we were looking...

Very interesting that cruise ships even make this a stop. Other than what the cruise ships have built there is not much else on this island. We did enjoy kayaking but town is in rough shape. The margaritaville at the beach was way overpriced and too crowded. If you walk along the beach another 30 yards there is a great...
