Water Delight

A very beautiful waterfall in the northern range. It is an easy hike uphill for about one half mile. it is really a little retreat from the bustle of life

The waterfall itself was nice, but the journey getting there was obviously not worth it. It started by having the taxi driver park in a stranger's yard. After we parked, was when the real "fun" began. The (roughly) 2-mile trek began with a very long stretch of mud. The sandals I was wearing (the tour guide "recommended" that I wear... More

This is a beautiful site, a cold cold bathe but the view is breath taking. If you hike to the site it would be worth it at the end.

Our guide Jerome was a mine of information, not only that he was patient with our two young guests (7 & 11 years) answering all their questions and pointing out more things they should be interested in from ants and small fruit to trees and shrubs. The walk up to the falls is fairly short but with all the stops... More

Should be in some condition to do this hike. Certain parts are demanding especially as one makes the ascent at the beginning, there after it is smooth sailing and the reward is arriving at the Falls to refresh oneself in the cool waters. Can't remember when I did this, but at that time it was completed a few times in... More

We hired a driver for the day who took us to the base of the waterfall and linked us up with a local who took us on the hike up to the falls. You should be in reasonable shape to take this trek. We went off the beaten path a few times (the plus to going with a local) and... More

Clear waters that is what you will find when you take the little hike to this waterfall, and it is icy cold, I lost my voice a year since I couldn't stay out of the water - lol

Great beach for swimming, water is nice but a bit cold . it's loaded with lots of sun fun but limited palm trees ! Vendors have copious amounts of beach chairs and food for sale but their is little shade for such a large expanse of beach. The water is a bit cold with giant waves great for surfing. I... More

Going here out of Port of Spain (POS) was absolutely beautiful riding through the mountains. If you take public transportation up there and don't intend to stay overnight, be sure to leave early enough by 3:30pm or 4pm coming back to POS or you might find yourself staying all night on the beach. We didn't follow Anna's advice about what... More
