It's ok

I wouldn't jump up & down to visit this place. I find it to be over-crowded, smelly & there's not much to see.

Since the recent renovations and the addition of more animals to the Emperor Valley Zoo, it's a pleasure to venture there with the kids to see the animals. I love the white tiger cubs and the giraffes! The kids always enjoy seeing the animals and mimicking them. And I especially like the fact that there are trainers on hand to... More

This zoo has evolved greatly in the past few years, more animal diversity and more things to do like pet a snake, feed the giraffes, pet macaws. Also theres lots to learn with zoo staff giving animal talks and interacting with the animals like once they played tug of war with the tigers after a tiger talk wich was cool,... More

It didn't look much from outside but we were really impressed with the number of exotic animals in this zoo. Said that some of the sections are in desperate need of updating. It's worth the trip to see the monkeys, giraffes, tigers, snakes, birds, etc. (Check out their website for a full list of animals). Give yourself an hour or... More

I had not been to the zoo in years. It had improved;, that is, there were more variety of animals, it continued to be well kept and there was even the opportunity to view feeding at different times for different animals, where persons from the public could even engage in feeding the animals too, with aid from zoo keepers.

Certainly not an all day event but a nice 2 hour detour. I only gave it 4 stars not because of service but it can't compare to zoo's in the US so I can't set it against that expectation. Lots of school children enjoying it. They have a snack bar so don't expect to have a restaurant style seating. Lots... More

I am pleased so many improvements at the zoo, the children love the white Cubs, feeding the giraffe (buy the food), lots of place to sit and eat, clean, toilets are clean, soap. Impressive cafeteria. The keepers are friendly. We arrived on a Friday - so many school were there for a field trip and lots of parking. I will... More

Let me start by saying, I haven't been to this zoo since I was in primary school. A lot of people told me that it had greatly improved over the last few years. I decided to take my little cousins as a Sunday outing and I was pleasantly surprised. Huge improvement and it was very enjoyable. We were there by... More

The zoo is good for a short visit. However it needs more animals and facilities. The parking is too small
