Great Afternoon at the zoo.

My visit to the zoo was quite a nice one. We went on a Sunday afternoon after church and it was quite busy which came to me as a surprise. I haven't been to the zoo in possibly a... read more

The recent upgrades and addition of new exhibits makes this a good place to spend a day. However, the concessions are poor with very limited and unhealthy choices in an untidy environment. Very limited seating for diners, and bad smells all around. Still an axciting place for kids though.

We visit this zoo every time we come to Trinidad. This time we have seen some very nice improvements to the zoo. It's not the biggest zoo, but that's one of the reasons we like it so much. A couple of new exhibits to the zoo are some white tigers, which are housed in a brand new enclosure, and they... More

My visit to the zoo was quite a nice one. We went on a Sunday afternoon after church and it was quite busy which came to me as a surprise. I haven't been to the zoo in possibly a year or two so I found new sections of the zoo were great, the gift shop is a good way to... More

So many additions has made this zoo the gem of the Caribbean. We have a mix of native animals as well as some foreigners that have migrated.. we have giraffes and white Bengal tigers a rare find that we have and everybody wants!!! All in a Trinidad experience!

I had mixed feelings when visiting the zoo. The service was great and new exhibitions were spacious, being both visually appealing and comfortable for the animals. However, the older sections, especially the primate section, is a total disgrace. Do NOT visit the chimpanzee or monkey enclosures if you are sensitive to animal rights. It's a disgrace that these animals have... More

My husband and I love to go to zoos, and Trinidad's did not disappoint. Lots of colorful birds and playful monkeys. We really enjoyed the reptile area, where we even saw a diamondback snake (which is local to our area of the US). The turtles, otters, and tigers were also very fun to watch.

I always enjoy a nice walk through this zoo. Every time I come to Trinidad I do. The animals look amazing and well treated. The chimpanzee is my favourite. You can't imagine how smart he acts opening his food bags by himself and playing with his foam while taking baths.

I hadn't been to the zoo in years so I wasn't expecting to be comfortable when I finally visited again. The zoo has changed so much! Thee are huge fans that keep you cool in the outdoor seating areas and 2 cafes serving good food. There is seating almost everywhere so it is not a non-stop hike. The animals were... More

My wife and I visited the zoo to get a better idea of animals in the region and were very pleased. Although the afternoon was very hot, we walked the entire zoo and saw many wonderful things. The animals all appeared to be well cared for and the staff and zookeepers were knowledgeable and helpful. We really enjoyed ourselves. Of... More
