I visited Maracas Beach with my kids last month. The beach is a nice beach but the facilities need up dating . We found the water is a bit rough but there are life guards all along the beach. The beach it self has many coconut trees so you can find a nice shade to relax under. My kids tried... More

Takes about 45 minutes to get to this beach area. 35 USD per person round trip. You can eat the local shark and bake sandwich at the beach and have a Carib beer. Very good!

Escape from the busy day to day of port of spain and take a drive to maracas. There are lots of local food and drink options available on the beach and everyone must try the legendary shark and bake. The mountains in the background and the sand and sea make this place relaxing and fun. The waves at times can... More

When you visit here, you have to stop at the look out and grab a few snacks like Tamarind Ball and chow, nothing like homemade snacks. Also, don't forget to grab your Bake and Shark with all the toppings and slight pepper. A must when in Trinidad.

It's a great place to enjoy with family, lots of food and drink options around the area. Shark and Bake a must try in Maracas Bay. The wave can get rougher at time so watch out. There are lifeguards in the area but I only see one station and it is not sufficient for the big beach. Plenty of beach... More

If you have never been to a tropical beach, then this is definitely worth seeing. The combination of mountains/hills, lush green, sandy beach and a curved bay is a formula that always works. On the other hand, it you have been to tropical beaches, and have a long half-day or better a day to spare, then I'd rather go to... More

Lovely beach and a very scenic drive from Port of Spain. This beach gets very high waves for body surfing. If you like playing in waves this is for you.

What an amazing place to visit! The drive over the mountains was exhilarating and the final destination, Maracas Beach, scintillating and refreshing!

The waves on this beach, crash, roll and rumble, but its excellent fun. The water is beautiful and depending on the time of year you visit, you either swim with jelly fish, dolphins and other sea creatures. The bake and shark you must have, and mango chow, or whatever chow is available and try tambrind sauce once you can find... More
