Maracas Bay is still a must stop on my visits to Trinidad. It has improved over the years, and I love that there are now chaises and beach umbrellas for rent to make your beach visit so much more comfortable. The food concessions across the street serve great beach food with a wide range of delicious local condiments. The swimming... More

Not much to say...great beach, great food (shark and bake), great weather. Changing facilities needs to be upgraded. Car park also needs repaving.

Maracas Bay is the premier beach attraction in Trinidad. Just 45 minutes from the capital city of Port of Spain on the northern coast of the island. It is a must see spot for visitors who come to vacation on the island. There are food stalls that sell the famous Shark and Bake with a variety of tasty condiments to... More

Great escape from the hectic business environment of the capital city of Port of Spain. Fantastic journey to get there with many available stops for refreshments. The quality of the beach itself is great. One gets the opportunity to sample a wide range of local foods, the most famous of which is "Bake and Shark" (although the fish that is... More

There are amazing views on the drive up there. You can stop at the lookout for scenic photos. It is a popular beach among both locals and visitors, and it is usually clean and well maintained. You can get delicious bake & shark at the food huts, as well as other snacks. It is useful to check weather reports before... More

Beautiful beach! Grab a beach bench and chill with a Carib beer and it's a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the busy port of Spain business.

I have been to this beach many times. The actual geography is glorious with stunning views. The drive to it can be a pain as the traffic is usually hectic. Most people leave their rubbish on the beach (a typically Trini thing unfortunately) and there are not very many facilities for toilets and changing. It dies does have life guards... More

Premier beach in Trinidad. Takes a bit of a drive but the trip is very scenic and worth it. Be careful on returning if you have ha "a few" on the beach. Beauty full beach and very clean waters. Don't miss out on the shark and bake ...the local specialty.

The food, the air and water is calming and peaceful! It's worth the drive to this locations and there are many corners to relax in along the water.
