The journey to Maracas takes you through a beautiful, scenic winding road in the breathtaking northern range, impressive by itself until you emerge from the hills to a bird’s eye view of Maracas bay. As you descend the hill to the beach, welcoming is an understatement, the beach is one of the best in the world and the food ….well….... More

Maracas Bay is a lovely beach area; however, not being a fan of fish or seafood, I enjoyed it immensely without the addition on "Bake n Shark" which so many recommend.

As a local .. I can safely say to a foreigner .. You cannot visit Trinidad and not visit Maracas Bay and not have our Bake n Shark sandwiches .. Good beach.. Good food,.. So relaxing.. A long winding road but the view is awesome.. Must try

Great beach and bake and shark to die for-order 3 per person, go easy on the pepper sauce!!!! The beach is gentle rolling out, clean changing rooms and shower facilities. Life guards and no rubbish. Locals enjoy it as much as tourists. Backdrop is fantastic cove in forested hills.

We went to Maracus Bay while waiting to get into our room at the Hyatt in Port of Spain. The beach at Maracus is incredible. We had Bake and Shark at Richards Place, excellent and so fresh, probably the freshest fish ever. The boats, dory style, fishing boats were so picturesque. Definitely a must if going to Trinidad.

Nothing really compares to the beaches in Tobago. I wasn't super impressed but maybe that had to do with how I got there from Port of Spain! The indistinguishable Maxi Taxis in Port of Spain by Charlotte and Henry street aren't regulated and they wait to fill up with like 10 people before they depart. I got lucky because I... More

What I love about this beach is that it cost nothing to visit it. You don't need to take a picnic. There is seafood as well vegetarian food available. Unfortunately all fried. Don't forget to walk with your sunscreen.
