Good Beach, Food and great local shopping. Beach chairs were a bit pricey so we relaxed on towels. It was the middle of the week so beach was not packed and packing was good.

Okay beach but not in the same class as those found on other Caribbean islands. Best part was the food stands across the road in the parking lot.

You would love the lush tropical greenery as you drive along the coast to Maracas, I love the view! The beaches have the amenities of shopping,no need to cook as you have the best bake and shark by Richards, self help of all dressing you want on your sandwich, delicious sauces . The drive to Maracas beach on the north coast, through the mountain is scenic with lots of greenery, calming and beautiful. The white sand beach is clean and safe. Locals are very friendly and welcoming. There are many food vendors available for local delicacies, like every popular Bake and Shark(a must try) with various types of sauces/condiments(chado beni, tamarind, garlic,etc.,)... More

In the island of Trinidad, this is the most popular beach. Its sun, sand and sea. Situated on the north coast of the island, washed by the waters of the Caribbean sea. This is the quintessential "trini" beach. Not a resort beach, its open to the public. There are car park and shower, change/toilet facilities at the main beach. The... More

The drive to Maracas Bay is 2 lanes through mountains and for us definitely not worth the trip. There were guard rails in some areas and in some a straight shoot down a cliff very scary. Once we got there the beach was ok, nothing spectacular we have better beaches at home. No sure what we were expecting but very... More

I had the opportunity to go Maracas beach during my visit last month. The drive to the beach was very calming and scenic. There were lots of greenery all around. It was midweek and the beach was not crowded. This is a very clean beach. "Sam's Shark and Bake" across the street is a "must have". This is an excellent... More

Be sure to take a trip up if you can! Nice views as you club the mountain side. Be sure to have a designated driver as well, as things get very, very curvy. Be sure to get a bake & shark by Sammy's too.
