Wonderful beach, went here with a few Brazilian friends last year and it was different since it was my first time at maracas beach. High tide comes in really fast so if the temperature changes while you are in the water, know high tide is coming. Other than that loved it.

We had visited this bay by yacht and anchored for a night just chilling whilst exploring the north coast. It would have been a wet landing to have gone ashore so hired a car 2 weeks later. A place just to chill with the locals. A wide beach with palm trees for shelter from the strong sun. The front is... More

I had a good time just playing in the water. Stopped by the local restaurants for some food while at the beach. Worth the drive just to try the bake and shark.

Arrived early saturday morning to find that I nearly had this amazing beach to myself!! Ample parking, changing facilities, beach chairs to rent and friendly locals around the food/shopping booths. Could not have felt more safe and welcome enjoying this magnificent beach!! - alex dudik @alexdudik on twitter

I visited on a Friday afternoon. There were not too many people. The wonderful ambience added to our enjoyment. Lovely scenery, very picturesque with mountains emerging from the sea. The water was quite warm though a little rough which it always is. The bake and shark was quite tasty although not to be suggested for those on a diet. All... More

The beach is great and you must try a bake and shark. This is by far Trinidad's best beach. Facilities are good and the water wonderful. The drive through the mountains is absolutely breathtaking.

Best beach in Trinidad . Paridise. Just like the holiday brochure pictures. It is about an hour drive from port of Spain but we'll worth it. You must try the bake and shark. Tastes good. Or take a bar b q or picnic. This is the perfect beach

Visiting Maracas Beach bought back so many great memories from my childhood. Our parents used to bring us for the day. My husband and I walked up and down the beach and watched as people had picnics and barbeques and were having some great holiday weekend family fun. There is lots of beach to accommodate all who are there. Driving... More

It takes an hour drive from POS to get here and the area isn't safe with locals checking out tourist for valuables. As the rule of thumb do not leave your car unattended or you might regret. To be safe there's paid parking next to Richard's bake and shark across the street from the beach. The shore is nice and... More

Maracas Bay is a lovely place to relax and unwind. You must sample Richard's shark and bake if you have the opportunity- absolutely delicious!
