Maracas is arguably the best beach in Trinidad. It is a beautiful bay surrounded by the mountains. It's a must when in Trinidad. Very relaxing. The water changes with the weather though. Sometimes it's so clear u can see your feet and other times its a bit murky. Also sometimes the waves are more rough than other times. All depends... More

The beach here is the most beautiful in Trinidad, the view of the mountains when your in the water is something else, I've been here a lot and plan to go back a lot more. More restrooms are needed and the parking is a bummer sometimes but all in all a fun place to visit, especially with the family.

Maracas is a lovely place to lay back and enjoy the Caribbean. The beach is famous to tourists who enjoy the cool waters. Although the waves may be rough, the beach is shaded by some trees proving the ideal place for relaxing. Locals and tourists alike rush to the bake and shark stalls that line the beach, multiple vendors pass... More

really liked this beach! Just wish a few things... Better changing and restrooms ($TT 1.00) and they pick up the trash better. I went today on a weekday and felt it was to myself. I had a driver take me from the MovieTown area to Maracas Bay and back....he drove me by some interesting points of interest, stops for pictures... More

As the beach is located half hour from downtown, it´s worthy to drive 15 minutes more and reach Las Cuevas beach.

I'm so happy I got to go here. Very clean beach and the water is lovely and warm. Fabulous beach, hired 2 beds for TT20 each and an umbrella for TT60, lots of people walking up and down offering coconut water, candy floss, kites for kits etc. you also have a kiosk with blow up toys and boogie boards. This is a beautiful beach with ample facilities. Swimming could be risky take note of red flags on the beach. Howeverif you continue past Maracas about 1.5miles you would come to Las Quevas which is much less crowded but with limited facilities. Swimming here is much nicer and less risky. The is also the opportunity to buy fresh fish from... More

Nice beach teeming with people especially on a weekend. Overshadowed by mountains, the drive from Port of Spain is 30 minutes through the winding roads of the Northern mountain range. There are lots of concession stands nearby. Facilities for public use is also available. The water can be rough at certain times of the year. Walk with your beach chairs or... More

Lovely beach with great Shark & Bake right across the way! Swaying palms and warm water. Loved the ride there, too!
