It is a bit out of the way to get there from Port of Spain, but it certainly offers you a great opportunity to enjoy a little beach time.

One of my favorite beaches. Best view and best food ever. Richard bake n shark is out of this world. You can easily spend a whole day at this beach. It is wonderful and I can't wait to get back.

The backdrop of the mountains and the twisting road to get here are amazing. Beautiful beach, beautiful water. Don't leave Trinidad without a trip to Maracas!

Over commercialised but beautiful, I preferred Las Cuevas further on as it was unspoilt, appealed to locals more, less beer sellers & fast food joints.

When you take the route form Port of Spain to Maracas Bay, you contemplate the beauty of the trini village and the beauty of the caribbean nature. This beach is wonderful, relaxing, clean waters, not crowded... You can swim with your dog. I love this place. It's like Seychelles, Palau, or maybe Hawaii. If I will go another time to... More

Please don't leave the bay without visiting Richard's restaurant. The best bake & shark in the planet.

It is a bit far (little less than an hour from Port of Spain), but the beach is really nice, and definitely worth a trip. Furthermore, you can enjoy the famous "Bake and Shark" sandwich... delicious!
