Maracas Bay is located on the north coast of Trinidad. Getting there is somewhat tedious having to drive through the mountains but once you arrive there, it's well worth the trek. Not only is the beach gorgeous and picture perfect, there are a few amenities to make sure that you enjoy your day such as lounge chairs that you can... More

The drive to the Bay from the capital of the island is scenic - up hill down hill with some winding roads, with occasional glimpses of the ocean among the greenery. Make sure to stop at the... More

The traffic can be a bit much but if you keep the holiday mentality and just enjoy the scene you'll even embrace this. As soon as you pass through the pillars your drive will be caressed by... More

What a picturesque beach with some unique local food, most notably the shark & bake. It's definitely worth the 30 minute drive from Port of Spain!!

The only issue with Maracas is the popularity of consuming shark from the various vendors. This needs to stop ASAP! Sharks are threatened worldwide.
