Just my second visit to the Asa Wright Nature Center and will certainly not be my last. Being a budding wildlife photographer this location provides the ideal location for shooting over a hundred species of birds and other wildlife. The veranda provides an excellent vantage point for looking out over the valley below. The feeders in the veranda attract a... More

Asa Wright Nature Centre is one of the best spots in the world for both serious and casual birdwatchers. We have birded fairly extensively all over the Caribbean, and in Costa Rica and Mexico, and still managed to bag 41 life birds here in four days. We also saw a lot of beautiful birds that we have seen before. A... More

Asa Wright Nature Centre has what you need for a great retreat alone or with company. I took my kids here. The staff was so accommodating and informative. They learnt so much and best of all they came away with a greater appreciation of the need for preservation and love for nature. The quiet and secured facilities are safe enough... More

We took some friends of ours who had lived in Trinidad many years ago and wanted to show their daughter what Trinidad had to offer other than sea and the beach. We all had a great time. Even though I regularly go on walks and hikes through out the island I enjoyed seeing nature so grand and seeing animals and... More

Very informative and relaxed, with pleasant walks and surprising sights and sounds. If you like bird watching and understanding the fauna - go to Asa Wright. You might even find a cool natural pool in the forest to jump in to...

If u love nature , then this is a place to visit. Serene surroundings, enhanced by lush fauna and flora. One can choose to visit for a few hours or take advantage of a longer stay with accomodation at one of the cabins. A guided tour along the trails exposes one to a variety of local birds and trees. There... More

Took Debbie here for her birthday, most memorable! Interesting tour but the most amazing part was having a meal surrounded by humming birds. With it being out pof season we were the only ones eating but the service was just as good. Views down the valley with nothing but trees and deep valleys. Views which locals would have seen 4000... Lots of good bird watching and trail hikes. Apply mosquito repellent liberally. Humming birds galore. Bring a good camera with a fast lens.

We try to visit Asa Wright at least once a year. It is a long drive in the hills by local standards, but the isolation helps for the quiet atmosphere for wildlife spotting. If you love hummingbirds, the verandah at the back of the building has loads of hummzingers that the hummingbirds and kiskidees love. They are accustomed to people,... More

This place is totally different from other bird sanctuary such as Caroni, here you'll see varieties of birds and involves walking for long hours. Be sure to bring plenty of water but don't worry you can always buy in the store. This is one of the A must to see when you get here in Trinidad and getting here takes... More
