Come here to enjoy the natural habitat of many of our local birds. Nestled in the northern rainforest, a scenic drive leads you to a pot of gold filled with birds to delight you.

If you are into birds, this is the place for you. the verandah is a great place to spend time observing the avian world around the site, with trails for further exploration. Rooms are basic, but comfortable. Meals are simple but filling. Multiple off-site excursions offered with guides who know their stuff.

A great birding experience for novices or veterans. I've birded a few times in the American tropics and didn't expect to see as many new species in Trinidad as I did. The guides were most helpful, the food local and delicious, and the daily rum punch a real treat! The rooms are spacious and comfortable but some of them (including... More

Wonderful birding with a friendly staff. The rooms were comfortable and the food, which is severed buffet style, is good. You can spend all day on the veranda watching the birds and people watch, as day trippers come up to see the action.

For many years we have known that Asa is one of the World's Mecca's for Bird lovers. Visitors of at least three days ( we stayed for 7 Nights ) will not be disappointed in the beautiful array of so many colourful birds they will see. The Guides are also brilliant, all of them without exception, with such keen eyesight... More

We visited the Centre with Roger Neckles. He was very knowledgeable about the birds of Trinidad and was a very personable individual. Friendly and easy to get on with, he made us feel relaxed and we all got on well.

Its a peaceful paradise, hidden in the hills.. Great for those who likes nature, bird watching, nature trails. I especially liked the fresh water pool. The accommodation is real simple, no TV, no a/c...just good ole nature. The food is all local even the coffee too... If you are truly in love with nature then Asa Wright is the place... More

We took a tour with Caleb through the Asa Wright Nature Center which was very easy for all ages. Caleb was very informative and kept a decent pace. The flowers were lovely and the hummingbirds were everywhere. We had lunch at the center included and the buffet style food was excellent.

Sitting on the veranda at the Asa Wright Centre I counted 8 different types of humming bird, and was ably helped to recognise them by the knowledgeable and charming guides that work there. A walk through the woods with a second guide showed us woodpeckers, mannikins, a bell bird, trogons and a host of other species, and a precipitous walk... More
