Although the scarlet ibis experience at the end is brilliant you have to be lucky with what else you see. There are times you can see lots and others you see very little but that's nature for you they don't perform to order!

Did a self guided tour in the process of doing some research in the swamp. It was my first time and I was in sheer shock at the expanse of land that there is. The area teems with wildlife early in the mornings, many birds and monkeys. It is a must for locals too.

I came to Trinidad to visit my newly retired parents home. Friday night I realized I would have a "free day" on Saturday and checked out what Ecotour opportunities were available on the internet. I chose this tour with Kayman of Limeland tours. I called at 8:00pm or so and reached Kayman and we booked the 2:00 pm tour for... More

Truly fantastic and awe-inspiring! As recommended by other reviewers, we booked with Kayman (of Limeland Tours) and stayed at his guest house the night before. We drove ourselves from Port of Spain to Manzanilla. The hotel staff in POS looked at us like we were crazy, but the drive wasn't bad at all and as long as you have GPS... More

This is a rather bizarre attraction but its unique, fascinating, educational and fun! we were out of season so it was just us and a german couple with our guide, who was informative and fun. Its perfectly safe with a guide, but you do need secure footwear and its likely they will get wet, as there are pools of water... More

Kayman is an extraordinary guide/naturalist. Very experienced with encyclopedic knowledge of birds, plants, and the wildlife of Nariva swamp. A near native he lives nearby. Ours was a supurb visit, seeing Howler monkeys, caimen, lizards, and a wonderful variety of rare birds.

every day on 16:00 different boats drive into the swamps to see birds and nature. At the end you can see many red ibis, coming back to sleep in the trees

Fantastic experience for the whole family. Our two boys loved kayaking. We saw two 2 different kinds of monkeys, very amazing. Would definitely recommend to do this tour when staying at Trinidad.
