Underwhelming as botanical gardens but hugely impressive Thai food in the verandah restaurant!

We were just passing by to check the botanical gardens out and perhaps have a bite. It is a funny place to find - but worth the effort. We realized at the gate that we could visit the restaurant and not have to pay the entrance fee - which worked for us perfectly since I am not sure how much... More

It was so beautiful and the maintenance team had everything looking spectacular! The plants were so colorful. We stopped and had a reflection at the many statues! The volcano as a backdrop is breath taking!!!

Leisurely stroll through the gardens at your own pace on a self-guided tour. Fruit trees, palms, orchids and water gardens all well maintained and presented. Stay for lunch at the Thai restaurant on the grounds-exceptional.

We did not expect the likes of the gardens in Cape Town, but did come away disappointed. Possibly not the best time of year to visit, but a perfectly pleasant way to spend a couple of hours. The gardens surrounding Golden Rock Estate, we thought more varied and interesting.

The gardens are well off the main road but not too hard to find. I've forgotten the price but I remember thinking it was a little on the high side. The gardens are nice and most of the plants are clearly labeled. One thing I wasn't expecting was that many of the plants are invasive species. There are a lot... More

We enjoyed the Thai restaurant very much, very fresh and delicate cuisine and a beautiful peaceful atmosphere. Delicious healthy fruit drinks - try the Purple Rain!

The botanical gardens are lovely. If you like Thai food you will want to have lunch at the oasis in the gardens. The view is stunning and the food is fresh, authentic cooked with herbs harvested from the gardens. Try the "mocktails" we had the lemon mint cooler and the Thai passion. Unique, flavorful, and refreshing!

The gardens are interesting and extensive and a peaceful location. To add a measure of additional interest there are a variety of other artefacts from around the world which are shown to good effect in this setting. Staff helpful and informative.

The Botanical Gardens of Nevis is beyond beautiful and peaceful. Equipped with fountains, ponds, large trees, gorgeous flowers, romantic seating and even a restaurant. In this location you can find birds, fish, lizards and spectacular sculptures. My only complaint is that I wish the walk-through was longer. It is definitely a calming place as well as easy on the eyes.... More

Well maintained, numerous areas to sit and look at different areas as you stroll. Parrots in the greenhouse. Would be a lovely site for special event or large groups. Plan to have lunch at Oasis restaurant before/after. Make sure to find, or ask where the butterfly pea plant is located. We were served the beautiful flower in our rice. Never... More
