Although April may not be the best time to enjoy the gardens, there was still plenty to see. The place is very quiet and you can take as long as you like to look around. The water features were turned off during our visit- it would have been nice to see them running.

The Douglas Family took over this wonderful Botanical Garden, I think about 12 years ago. We went there at about the same time last year (Feb). It has become even more wonderful. Very well stocked & maintained. A further plus point is the upstairs restaurant, overlooking the gardens. You can sit on the verandah or inside It serves Thai food... More

The orchid gardens and the thai restaurant are terrific. It is a lovely place to stroll and then have lunch.

I am an avid gardener. so I was very excited to visit the gardens. It was nice but I have been to better. Seems like it is not being kept up…..very few of the fountains were working. It was like they just did not bother to turn them on. This had an impact on visitors, as there are many water... More

Had a relaxing morning exploring these lovely gardens. There is a thai restaurant there which we didn't et in but had a good selection of home made refreshing drinks and the balcony overlooked the gardens.

We spent a couple of hours there - it's not just the tropical plants but also the variety of statuary. Beautifully tended and laid out. And when you are thirsty the restaurant in the former Great House serves hand pressed juices to order.

While on holiday in Nevis we visited this little botanical garden a little way off the main road and well worth the detour. From the moment you enter the gates a feeling of peace overwhelms you, it is pleasantly shady with beautiful planting much of it clearly labelled, intriguing statues artistically placed and water features to complete the ambience. On our recent trip to Nevis we decided to head to the Botanical Gardens. The gardens are a bit remote and you had to do some guessing a couple times relative to left or right turns but we made it to the gardens! They're very relaxing and beautiful to look at even on an overcast day. The views of the... More

On our last day of our Nevis trip we decided to visit the Botanical Gardens, and we were so glad we did. The gardens were beautiful and captivating with tropical plantings and beautiful sculptures. To top it all off, there is a fantastic authentic Thai restaurant featuring spectacular view of the water and the island. Food was outstanding, and the... More

I would say that a visit to the gardens is a 'must do' on your trip to Nevis. We spent a leisurely morning enjoying the beautiful gardens with their weird and wonderful fruit trees, stunning palms, water Lillie's etc. There are lots of secluded seats and benches, a wonderful little picnic area, but the crowning of the visit is surely...
