Last week, I decided to go on the Volcano Hike with Poinciana Tours. What a wonderful experience! I was in St. Kitts visiting a friend who is attending Ross University (Vet School). Since she had to attend class during the day, I decided to take this hike to stay busy. What a perfect decision! David, owner of Poinciana Tours, booked... More

We were in St. Kitts on a cruise, and no other company would take us up Mount Liamuiga. We really wanted to see it though, and decided to book a private tour with Poinciana. The private tour was ideal because we could go at our own pace, which, in this case, was fast. Al was a supremely knowledgeable guide, and... More

If you’re looking for an off the beaten path adventure, Poinciana Tour’s Mount Liamuiga Volcano Hike is for you. Wear a sturdy pair of walking shoes and be prepared for a solid workout. David and team were a wealth of knowledge regarding the indigenous flora / fauna and local history. Flee the cruise port and spend an afternoon taking in... More

My girlfriend and I were coming to St Kitts on a cruise ship and knowing that we would already be seeing Barbados and St Lucia in your typical 'island tour, stuck in a bus all day long' style we wanted something that would be challenging and get our blood pumping. We booked this tour ahead of time and were really... More

My wife and I (late 20's) were in St Kitts on a cruise and booked the rain forest tour through a travel agent. We were impressed with the tour and enjoyed it. Our tour guide (David) was waiting for us with a sign as we exited the cruise port and was extremely easy to find. We hopped in an open... More

We just got back from doing the Mt Liumiaga Hike with Poinciana Tours. David could not go with us as he was doing a rainforest hike. We went with Dube and he was waiting for us with a sign just like they said they would and we promptly took off. We had a great hike and Dube had loads of... More

When looking for things to do on St. Kitts before we left, I knew we HAD to do the volcano hike! I read various reviews and decided that Poinciana Tours would be our best option. I am so glad we contacted David and did the hike with him. I have to admit that I probably looked funny on the flights... More

We are a family of 4 (two boys ages 8 and 13), and we prior to our trip to St. Kitts booked two tours with Poinciana Tours, the Rainforrest Hike and the Island tour. Both were terrific. Dave picked us up in his old 4x4 bus and for 4 hours drove us to Brimstone Hill (17th Century Military site) and... More

Great hike but fairly rugged. It is not a "moderate" hike unless you consider treacherous and fairly steep terrain "moderate". You should be fit enough to climb 2000' in about a 2-3 mile walk. The views are spectacular if not cloudy. Bring food and drink if you burn energy fast as the ginger beer and raisin bread are nice but... More

We didn't get too much grief from our fellow hikers about being the only cruise-ship people on the hike, but I think we proved our mettle. We left early enough in the morning to only run into one other group (who left even earlier as they were headed down on our way up) on the trip. David and his brother-in-law... More
