Located in the middle of Basseterre, a well maintained square. Sort of like their central park with the government facility adjoining. Slaves were once sold from the Square so the place has a "real" past." Narrow busy commercial streets go off from here. More

The area around the square is great to see although parts are reminiscent of third world countries like Haiti or Somalia. The traffic and the parking are horrible and can make you a little unnerved. Make sure you don't drive there until you are used to driving on the island. More
