Beautifully landscaped grounds, the prior residence of Capt. Samuel Jefferson. Caribelle Batik is on the premises, where artisans produce beautiful batik fabrics. A demonstration area also shows the method of making batik fabrics. If you are visiting St. Kitts, the stop is well worth your time.

My husband and I stopped here while vacationing in St. Kitts. I have to say that the grounds are beautiful if you are into flowers and tropical plants. Our "tour driver" gave us 45 minutes here to walk the grounds AND visit the Caribelle Batik shop. The thing is we probably spent 30 minutes in the shop, hearing about how... More

it's a botanical garden of sorts, situated on an old manor. we stopped here on a tour and it was very pretty but not a destination. good for a quick stop if it's on your way but not worth a special trip

Stopped there when on ATV ride. Love the Batik shop and demonstration of how the cloth/clothes are made. Excellent and helpful staff. Went back the next day for great shopping.

This place houses the Batik shop, which is an interesting place to visit. In addition, it has the oldest tree on the island and a beautiful garden with exquisite views of the Caribbean Sea. If you are in the mood for some interesting history, gorgeous scenery, and/or unique shopping, definitely check it out. It's free!

I wish they still had the sugar cane growing so that you could get a better feel for what it was like long ago. The overgrowth takes away from the surrounding beauty. There is so much poverty on the island that does detract from the drive up to the manor.

The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. They had a batik demonstration and lots of items for sale. Our tour only stayed for about 20 minutes, but that was plenty of time to see everything. It was pretty, but not all that interesting to me.

Gorgeous tropical landscape setting & very cool batik factory store. Try to catch the batik demo; very interesting.

We stopped here while on a best of the island tour. It was a beautiful site - lush rain forest and batik. We didn't get to explore every inch because we were only there for 30 minutes.
