We had a pleasant hike up the eerily beautiful river canyon. You can see why the Caribs considered it a spiritual place. Our guide, Royston, said not many people do this short hike; and we certainly couldn’t have located the trailhead (in a field of cane and weeds)without his knowledge. This is an important place in Kittian history, but is now not worth a special trip. The river is dried up and not flowing most of the time and is only commemorated by a plaque.
