Interesting story but greatly exaggerated. As a physics major, I ran the discharge flow rate of a "river" 12' wide, even only 1/4 deep, at a barely flowing rate (very slight slope) and to maintain that volume of blood for three days would require the blood of over a million adults. I imagine it would take longer to kill 1... More

We had a pleasant hike up the eerily beautiful river canyon. You can see why the Caribs considered it a spiritual place. This is an important place in Kittian history, but is now not worth a special trip. The river is dried up and not flowing most of the time and is only commemorated by a plaque. It is good to see on a tour because your guide is likely to tell you more about the history, but otherwise it will probably... More
