Cayman Marine Lab is awesome! Tom took great care of our group during some challenging weather conditions. He took us to different parts of the island each day. We were west, south and north over a 5 day visit. It was very well organized and the diving was spectacular. The benefit of having several boats was a huge plus. He... More

Myself & my family have been diving with Cayman Marine Lab for over 20 years. Dr. Tom Byrnes is a great dive master and extremely knowledgeable about all the beautiful marine life, corals, etc. I would highly recommend diving with Tom if you want personal attention to every detail and a great time.

We completed our open water diving certification with CML. We did two dives the first day from Tom's boat and two shore dives the second day (due to some sea sickness). Paul and Tom were very understanding and flexible and we ended up doing two shore dives with Paul on the second day that were amazing. Paul was very patient... More

There are few recreational sports as technical, as risky, and as thrilling as diving. It ain't gin rummy. Diving with Tom Byrnes is diving with an absolute expert. The Cayman waters are his back yard and he puts you at ease with his personality, experience, and diving knowledge (and wildlife knowledge too...he's actually Dr. Tom Byrnes, Marine Biologist!). I've dove... More

The CML in Georgetown, Grand Cayman was outstanding. They ran a very tight operation with helpful and well-trained Dive Masters. My 2 daughters (13 and 15 yrs old) and I contacted Tom a few months prior to our trip to set up our open water dives for certification. Our Dive Master Paul patiently went over each dive and the skills... More

Just got back from another great week of diving with the cayman marine lab crew. Traveled with a group of dive friends and all were happy with the diving. Weather dictated diving on the west which I love. Wonderful small marine life as well as sharks, turtles, rays, eels and stunning coral. The diving trips are always augmented with great... More

Diving with Tom is like diving with an old buddy. He's a great guy. Lot's of people I went on dives with have been repeat customers for 15-20 years. You immediately feel comfortable with him and feel safe when you're diving. I actually decided to get my certification with him while I was there (decided that after the first dive).... More

Good break from underwater sites. At least for us to dry out a bit. All our excursions were awesome because cruise ship attendance was low.

Our group has been diving with Tom at Cayman Marine Lab for almost 30 years. During our most recent trip in early December of this year, the weather was somewhat uncooperative but Tom still managed to find excellent, very interesting dive sites and as usual provided fantastic service as well as a most informative marine science educational experience. If you... More
