If you want to dive in Grand Cayman, Cayman Marine Lab is the way to go. We are ending a wonderful week of diving with Tom and his crew. Our three children, ages 12 and 15 came to do their check out certification dives. I contacted Tom from the states and he promised me fun dives for the five of... More

I just spent another week diving with Tom Byrnes and CML. It was truly another awesome experience as it always is. Diving with CML defines adventure diving. Typically they anchor in a sandy location adjacent the wall. These are areas not used by other dive operations, and are therefore pristine. Tom does not employ the mule train diving used by... More

I have been diving in Grand Cayman for 30 plus years. This dive operation is by far the best of them all. There have ben many new upstart operations as well as the big commercial ones. This is a smaller more personally run dive operation than the others. Tom Byrnes and his assistant Dylan are top notch. The real deal... More

I've been visiting Cayman for 18 years and have logged over 100 dives there. Here are 3 things CML offers that most other operations do not provide. 1) Adventure dives - Dropping anchor (in the sand) on an area of the reef that does not have a mooring ball. This allows divers the unique experience of visiting a pristine dive... More

We just returned from a 3 week stay on Grand Cayman - one of the highlights, always, for me, is to dive with Tom Byrnes and Cayman Marine Lab. I have been with him for several years now, and the diving is always great. Tom runs an excellent operation, he really knows the waters, the dive sites, and keeps constantly... More

We were picked up directly from our hotel beach by the CML boat and whisked away (6 minutes) to the reef. We had two dives and while the costs were a bit on the high side, it was made up for by the relaxed, intimate nature of the dive. It was just the four of us and the dive master,... More

While I didn't take part in the anything we did watch as others did. Everyone seemed to enjoy their experience, and had I had the time would have done so. We were on a tour around the island and only had about 15 minutes at each stop so we were limited as to what we could do.

Cayman Marine Lab provided our family with a super marine experience. We snorkeled, visited starfish and swam with stingrays. Our guide Dylan was fantastic. A completely positive boat trip, highly recommended.

My wife and I have often been to the Islands snorkeling. This trip I finally got the courage to try scuba diving. I researched many of the dive companies on Cayman. I wanted a less crowded and safe experience. Dr. Tom and Dylan gave me that great first time experience. After arriving at the first site, I watched a more... More

I need to preface this by saying that I've been going to cayman for 30 years, and I've always heard very good things about this operation. This may have just not been their day. Tom was very personable, and on the way out, he told us about how he takes people to sites not visited by others. We were going... More
