Got to play 18 holes at North Sound Golf Club on January 2nd, 2014. The course is short, but windy, I played from the blues, around 6300 yards. Fairways are spotty. Some are good, some are muddy, all had bare spots here and there. Definitely winter rules, lift, clean and place the day I played. Rental clubs, decent but regular... More

Before I start the review, I wanted to point out two things: 1) Grand Cayman is not a "golf destination" The island is too landlocked to have an expansive complex like PGA West or the myriad of courses like Myrtle Beach. No one plans a vacation centered around golf and goes to Grand Cayman. 2) Things are more expensive in... More

I have made several trips to Grand Cayman since December and am very pleased to see the noticeable improvements made to the course and property over the last 5+ months. They have a new fleet of golf cars, the staff is attentive, and the practice area is very large and well maintained. Also, as mentioned in an earlier review, the... More

I played this course 7 times in February and March. It offers a nice challenge of both wind and water. The fairways could use a bit more grass in places but I imagine it is difficult to keep it up. The staff were friendly and helpful and the clubs for rent were excellent. It gave me a chance to try... More

The only 18 hole course on Cayman the North Sound Club has a superb design, with very good greens! Their fairways suffer from being a foot above sea level in many places, but overall this is a very sound golf course, with great potential. Both courses (Brittania and North Sound) just need some TLC and a little cash, but in... More

"Best Golf" is a relative term on Grand Cayman as there are only 3 courses, The private Ritz and public Britannia 9 hole courses are options. This 18 hole course is fun and greens are in great condition, the fairways not so much - mainly because carts are allowed all over the course... 90 degree rule and cart/ropes needed!! But... More

Love this offering in Grand Cayman - greens rival any greens in the world - tee boxes need a little TLC fairways are well kept. Carts need attention as it rained a bit and our back cover was ripped so our bags, clubs and our backs got soaked. Love playing here. Cannot wait to play here again :) Oh left... More

To put this golf course into perspective for you, imagine a $20 golf course anywhere in the United States and you have the North Sound Club. The club house is a dump, and the greens are almost completely brown. If you want to eat anything, you have to wait 2 hours for a sandwich delivery as the club orders it... More
