I have been taking underwater pictures for years.... first with a simple point and shoot, eventually moving on to a Canon G12 in a basic underwater housing. When this wasn't giving me the results I wanted (my pictures tended toward bluish-green scenes), I was gifted with an Ikelite housing with strobe and light. Great. Now how do I use it?... More

This is the best place for novice to experienced underwater photographers. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. There's a wide range of equipment to choose from for rent or sale. Don't visit the Caymans without stopping here if you have any interest in underwater photography.

Ten diving friends and I spent a week at Sunset House. During the week 4 of us took the UW photo class. 3 had fancy cameras that needed you to push that button and twist that nob. Mine? An inexpensive point and shoot. While my camera was not a challenge to teach, both Jim and T took as much time... More

I am from the USA and got married on Grand Cayman in June. I had another local photographer all booked for my big day. On the day if my wedding my photographer never showed and didnt respond to my calls. My wedding coordinator called Tony from Cathy Church Photography and he saved the day. He rushed to my hotel within... More

I can't say enough about Cathy Church and her staff. All are very giving of their time and experience plus, by their own admission, how they are always learning. No where else could you get the combination of photography skills applied to the art of underwater picture taking. I had to buy a new strobe from them and they set... More

I took classes from T and Cathy herself. I just began using a interchangeable lens camera and am still trying to understand how to use it properly, Cathy and T have been extremely helpful. I took a strobe placement class from T, basics and then I took basics in macro shooting and wide angle/fisheye principals with Cathy. I learned a... More

A big Thank You to Jim for his high-quality work. He just printed some macro plant photos onto canvas for me and they turned out beautifully. They really look amazing. Thanks a bunch!

I had a fantastic time at the Cayman Photo Fest 2014 located at the Sunset House. I tremendously improved my underwater photography skills and education. The entire team (Cathy, Herb, Jenn, Tony, Tee, Diana and Jim) was very helpful from the moment I checked in to the event. Diana and Jim were the photo pro’s on the boat I was... More

My husband gave me a gift certificate to take an underwater photography class with Cathy Church. Since I was really just beginning, I was really nervous, but Jim was great. Very patient and encouraging. In just a couple of hours, he teaches you the fundamentals, then off you go in the water for about an hour to practice. I was... More
