If you are interested in a personalized tour of Grand Cayman then give Gilbert a call. I had met Gilbert before and had been to Cayman several times before taking his tour. He's funny and knowledgeable and tells great stories. We had a group of 4 who had not met before (1 married couple, plus 2 singles) so Gilbert drove... More

Don't get me wrong, Gilbert was a real nice guy, but this tour is NOT fair and cost us a lot of money. So, I'll save you $125 per person and you may rent a car and give yourself the tour free of charge! 1. Rent a car & grab a map 2. Follow Gilbert around on his motorcycle as... More

We started off by doing some snorkelling while learning about the area around us. Gil was very informative and laid back at the same time. We also visited Starfish Point, the Blow Holes and the Mastic trail, where he told us about the history and plants/trees around us. We also stopped at Over the Edge restaurant for a delicious and... Gilbert put together a personalized tour of a beautiful uncrowded beach, the mastic trail, caves, the blow holes and a meal at Over the Edge Cafe. He was very informative about the native culture, eco-systems and animals. He's a great guide and we are glad that we were directed to his company!

I read the trip advisor comments before writing my comments & had to laugh because a few of the things that were said happened to us (only adults in our group). Yes Mr. Gil was a bit friendly to the women in our group (NEVER said to remove our clothing). Is it a guy thing or was he trying to... More

Met up with my parents in Grand Cayman for the 4th time and wanted to do something different. Gilbert presented the option to go to Little Cayman at our resort orientation on Monday. By Tuesday we had booked a trip with him to the island. Once we booked everything was taken care of from booking of flights to transportation and... More

Spent the past week on Grand Cayman Island and had the pleasure of taking a tour with Joe Tourist. If you want to get off the beaten path and see some of Cayman's hidden gems this is the tour for you. Gilbert, our guide, is a native of GC, whose knowledge and passion for the island is contagious. He is... More

We took the Joe Tourist Island Tour last week. If you want to learn while on vacation, here is a great place to start. We took this tour at the beginning of our vacation, so that we could come back to these little known areas later on our trip. Big Joe knows a lot about the island botany, island history,... More

My husband and I went on an awesome Grand Cayman island tour with Gilbert (aka Joe Tourist). Gilbert picked us up from the condo where we were staying and brought us to his family home near Georgetown. We were shown native flora and even tasted a few exotic fruits that were growing in his garden. I will never forget meeting... More

I'm a bit late in reviewing this but my boyfriend and best friend were in Grand Cayman a few years ago and did the Joe Tourist tour. "Big Gil" came to our hotel to do a demonstration and we were instantly hooked. He's charismatic and fun and his laughter and enthusiasm are infectious. So much so that I agreed to... More
