We (myself, husband and 14year old son) went on a tour of the Mangroves with Cayman Kayaks a couple of weeks ago. We took the trip from Kaibi (near Rum Point) and had a fantastic time! There was about ten minutes of fairly hard work to get across the open water to the mangroves, but after that it was magical!... more

My husband and I wanted to go on the bio-bay kayak tour while in Grand Cayman to see the bioluminescence. Our concierge called numerous times to arrange the tour with no luck. It turns out Tom is the only one who works at Cayman Kayaks and you are lucky to catch him. He never even returned their many phone calls!... more

I am from Cayman and I have to say that the bio-bay trip was absolutely one of the most amazing things I have ever done. Truly a hidden gem of our island that most locals don't even have a clue about. I highly recommend taking one of these kayak tours if you are in Grand Cayman and are even remotely... more

This was easily one of the coolest things we did at GCI and one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen in the natural world. I’m amazed it’s not hyped more online. Tom is the operator and a young man (in his mid-20’s). He is quite difficult to get hold of as I know many of you have said.... more

Since I love Kayaking a lot, I try to make reservation before getting to Cayman. I 1) Send 2 emails 2) Make at least 7 international calls 3) leave at least 2 messages No one responds me anyway. After I arrive Cayman, I call them more than 5 times per day for 2 days. At the time I want to... more

Sadly we had no Rum Punch for the paddle. We paddled with Tom (owner and guide) on Thursday after Ash Wednesday. The inhabitants of Kaibo had celebrated "Mardi" Gras on Mecredi and some enterprising revelers had broken into his lock box and stolen the rum. There was a strong wind blowing from the mangroves back towards Kaibo. Tom had a... more

My family and I were looking for something unique and fun to do in Grand Cayman on our week long stay. We came across Cayman Kayaks Mangrove Adventure and figured that it was something we'd all like to do. Now let me say that my group consisted of 6 adults so I don't know what this trip would be like... more

Janurary 29, 2008 My husband, sister, brother-in-law, and myself just returned from our visit to Grand Cayman. We had contacted Cayman Kayak via email the day after we arrived to make reservations. They were unable to make reservations for Monday, so they suggested Tuesday morning at 9:30, which we confirmed back via email. We arrived Tuesday morning and meet another... more

In May of 2007 we tried Cayman Kayaks mangrove swamp tour. The trips leave from the Kaibo on the east side of the north sound, so leave yourself time to drive there. The trip started with a pleasant and relatively easy kayak across part of the sound, and then we wandered through the waterways of the mangrove swamp. Our guide... more

We were in Grand Cayman in March 2007 and enjoyed a sunset kayak trip with Cayman Kayaks, http://www.caymankayaks.com/index.htm. It is in the Rum Point area, departing from the parking lot by Keibo Yacht Club. It takes an hour and a half or so and was easy enough for our parents to go (who had never kayaked before). They served rum punch... more
