This was our first time visiting Grand Cayman. We travelled by cruise ship. My suggestion to anyone is NOT to book any excursions aboard your ship. As you exit onto the pier, there is an independent tour operator that charges $20 per adult $12 per child for a tour. The tour consists of 4 stops: West Bay, Seven Mile Beach,... More

George Town is a clean, family friendly but a somewhat expensive city as it is the financial center of the Caribbean attracting a good amount of wealth. Staying at a resort on Seven Mile Beach over the Holidays, we attempted to visit the city several times with two different disappointing results. When we first stopped by, we could not move... More

A great experience! Chris (?Kris) provided a tour for our party of 4 to Stingray City and snorkeling on the nearby reef. This was not my first time to Stingray City but unquestionably the best! It was unhurried and filled with good conversation- not to mention restaurant suggestions, etc. For a quiet visit to see the rays--take the suggested 0700... More

I am an older single woman with no horse back riding experience. I arranged my excursion on my own before we left for our cruise. The owner, Lori Catt, a professional successful business woman, met me as prearranged right on time. She instructed me on basic use of the reins, what to do and what not to do. I was... More

I really enjoyed the stingray park tour. The tour guides made sure that we understood interesting facts about the stingrays and how to handle them. They also provided us with food so that we could feed them. All the tour guides were very patient with the whole group of visitors on our tour. At the end they were even great... More

We drove about 5 miles to Georgetown when there was only one cruise ship docked.to see it. It was a Saturday so there was a lot of traffic on the road. We found the place to be a total tourist trap and would never go back there again if we come back to the island which was very nice with... More

Been to Georgetown several times via cruise ship. If you are not going on a tour or to the beach , walking about Georgetown you have many Tee shirt shops , all selling the same products. That is it ! Several bars serving pricy drinks , even more $$ than aboard the ship. So, do the tour , beach and... More

Everything about the excursion was great--professional, fun staff, and plenty of time both at the stingray sand bar and the coral reef. The little boat we were on was the "Emerald Eyes." The crew was very informative and helpful. Taught us how to hold a ray if you wanted to and do it safely. I've snorkeled with stingrays once before... More

Stay away from the Gem Palace. Spent 1700 US dollars there. And the ring they sold me had the diamonds falling out before it was a week old. Emails to them never even got a reply. When you have a problem with something you buy, it is very expensive to try and take it back. Anotherr cruise.

Once you get to Georgetown, you can walk a short distance to the Eden Rock dive center (past the restaurant where many people snorkel) to a great location. For $5.00 you can rent a locker. My husband and I have our own snorkel gear, but for $14.00 you can rent the complete outfit, including vest. There is a ladder to... More
