Georgetown --- capital of Cayman Islands is a very upscale, clean area. Super friendly people who are NOT aggressive with high pressure sales tactics. English is spoken by Georgetown inhabitants and the U.S. dollar is widely accepted. If you like good-quality merchandise like watches, jewelry, perfumes, spirits, etc., this duty-free district is a great place to get good value for... More

We spent a rainy afternoon shopping in Georgetown. We had a great time picking up souvenirs and lunch. The area is easy to navigate and very clean.

Our cruise ship stopped here and we had an enjoyable time doing activities and viewing a little. Great van service for only $2 to get around island--clean and polite and helpful. We shopped, dined and snooba dove (yes snooba)

My friends took me screaming and kicking on excursions. Two of them were nice but I would still pick a day at the pool. On the Grand Cayman Duck Tour I had to thank my friends because I had a WONDERFUL TIME. After the tour I asked the tour guide, MIKE , where he got his speaking experience and discovered... More

Georgetown is a small town where the cruise ships dock where less expensive items are found . Caymana Bay on the other side is a great spot for the young at night -lots of unusual clothes for those with more to spend. There are lots of coffee shops and eateries. Rum Point is a resort ideal for children and trips... More

Nice town, friendly, helpful people. Typical tourist town catering to cruise ships. Surprised at the amount of litter laying around.

While on an NCL Cruise we booked the Taste of Caymen excursion for $34 per person. It went to the Rum Cake Store, Seven Fathoms Distillery, and the Caymen Caybrew brewery. It was an enjoyable tour, The rum flowed freely at the Distillery and the beer flowed freely at the brewery.

Again, the snorkeling was cancelled and we had to fend for ourselves. This time we did not take the trip to the Rum Factory...which is really just a store with some animals on display outside or visit Hell which was a fun place to stop. Maybe, next time we will do more than walk around.
