I took this tour via trolley and trolley turned boat with Mike and Jensen. It was a combination of interesting information about Geaorgetown and delightful humor. Mike is a very knowledgeable guide who has a great amount of facts about the region at his disposal. He offers them in a humorous manner. We were taken through the town, to Seven... More

We arrived unusually by sailing ship - the Star Flyer, coming over from Cuba , so it was great to get somewhere where the cars are under 10 years old , and you can easily get WiFi. Unfortunately we arrived with 3 large cruise ships , so the quays were overflowing with visitors, people pushing trips to the 7 mile... More

Booked this excursion through our cruise line (Norwegian). It was a little chaotic at the beginning with all the tours for Grand Cayman basically meeting in the same place. Once we found the sign, we were all set. Short walk to the bus to take us to the yacht club, then climbed aboard for a relaxing trip out to the... More

I was here five years ago and I don't recall Georgetown being so dirty or as tacky. Most of the shop keepers were indifferent or rude. Having been in retail, I get it, especially after two bloated cruise ships port and then leave, but still...it's a service industry area. The one, lone sales person who was nice was at the... More

Our beautiful capital of the Cayman Islands is George Town. Georgetown (one word) is the capital of the country of Guyana! I hope the "owners" of this section of TA will correct the information so tourists can be better informed. George Town is a great for taking a stroll and has several historic buildings just a three minute walk from... More

Very few local places. You can buy jewelry, watches or tourist stuff. If the cruise ships are there good luck. I prefer more of a local experience and this is from that! If you want to look at jewelry go to Kirk Freeport and ask for Alpa. She is lovely and no pressure! I was hoping to find a little... More

I was on a cruise. Ship docked in Georgetown on 23 Dec. 2014. We did the above tour. The crew of the catamaran were friendly and when we docked at the Sandbar they were efficient in letting us know how to disembark from the catamaran. They got into the water with us and managed photo opportunities very well. Waist High... More

Georgetown is a good place to walk around to do some window shopping and maybe some real shopping for souvenirs and T-shirts. You can cruise around the pier area and maybe take some tours if you so desire. We had some fresh coconut water from a street vendor and our kids had a good time overall.

Yes, it caters to tourists, but George Town has many banks, consulting firms, law offices and other businesses, which add to traffic during weekdays. It has a museum, some other attractions, souvenir shops, of course, and restaurants, three of which we tried and liked. Leaving out the time for a restaurant meal, you could spend one to three hours, depending... More
