Stingray City as an attraction unto itself is really worth all of the hype associated with it!! But the spectacular part of our visit was provided by Sun Ray Tours!! Laurenzo who is the owner of the beautiful catamaran style sailboat, actually met us at the dock and escorted us out to the marina where his boat was moored. It... More

If the idea of eating at the hard rock or margarita ville and buying bad souvenirs is a sign of a good time, then this place is for you. Otherwise nothing is really that impressive. BTW you can not buy anything duty free unless you are on the cruise, non duty free things will be expensive. Also if you are... More

If you really want a souvenir from the island, this is the place to go. It is absolutely set up to cater to cruise ship passengers. We probably went in to 12 different shops before we found something decent though. In the time it took us to find shirts that weren't tacky, we got a parking ticket that was absurdly... More

George Town is overdeveloped and there is nothing to see or do here. Most part of the restaurants are westernized and there are tons of shops like Victoria Secret or Tous. This doesn't sound very authentic, right?! The fort is a joke, it was demolished by a developer back in the 70's. If you want to experience the real Cayman... More

The Cayman Islands are beautiful and very interesting to visit. People there pay no taxes, have no welfare or homeless, and the government takes care of the elderly. Tourism is the main industry. Cruise ship and airline companies pay an amount per person to the government. When you purchase anything with American dollars, you pay 20% over the Cayman price,... More

came ashore from Vision of the seas. Immediately got pushed around by the monstrous crowd. It was too hot and restaurants were all full.Beer was $ 6.50 to 7.50 a bottle, which I thought was ridiculous. The good thing.....free wi-fi was available , you just have to find it. Duty free was the best price we saw.I was looking for some... More

Too hot was a great store for quality cayman island t-shirts and the most reasonable prices we found. The town is great for everything being in walking distance to the pier from the cruise ship. It was pirates week when we were there so lots of festivities and a town full of life!

I stayed on the island and decided to go downtown to check out the place. This is were all the cruise ships come into port. It can be very crowded depending on how many ships are in dock. There are is very typical of other ports in the Caribbean. There are tons of tourist traps selling similar sourvenirs. tshirts etc.... More

Downtown Georgetown and the harbor is a great place to shop, eat, and snorkel from. But always choose early mornings or days when the cruise ships are not in to avoid the huge crowds... especially if you want to snorkel around the harbor. Don't miss visiting Guy Harvey's Shop! It is always a treat!!
