This is one of the few places in the world you can be up close and personal with these rays - so, you don't want to miss it. It's really pretty difficult to imagine what this is like until you do it. You don't have to swim as you can stand on the sand bar. However, the waves can be... More

Red Sail took us for 3 hr boat ride that included stingray city, snorkeling and then star fish point. A must do, my wife freaked out first time into water with all the stingrays swimming around n went on board. 5 minutes later she jumped back in, kissed them for 7 yrs luck and enjoyed it. Go in afternoon when... More

plentiful "friendly" stingrays, warm water choppy during our visit, but shallow, rays are obviously not coerced into interaction but do enjoy the treats!

I was terrified to go to sting ray city after reading the. About 4 sting rays swam by to check if we had food when we first entered the water . Fortunately, they were not very intrusive. It was not as scary as I had expected. I chose not to feed, hold, kiss or get a back massage but I... More

Up close and great photo opportunities. Pick times when no cruise ships are in for less people. Great snorkeling also available within a few hundred yards as well.

We have been to Grand Cayman several times, but never made it to Stingray City, what a mistake!! We loved the sand bar and the interaction with these sea creatures. They are very ominous to be around since they are large and have that big spike on them. But with our reps from Sun Ray Tours, we had a great... More

Our guide was Chris from White Sail Sports who operate out of the Reef Resort in the east end. He was very safety conscious and did an excellent job. He operates a smaller boat (6-8 individuals) and therefore provides a much more personal and intimate experience overall. His suggestions were to avoid the days that the Cruise Ships are in... More

This is a different excursion than the Sandbar stingray excursion. At Sandbar, you can stand up. This excursion is Stingray City where you are in scuba gear in ~12 feet of water. We did this excursion through our dive operator, Sunset Divers at Sunset House on a Tuesday afternoon. There were 8 people on the trip. We left from Sunset... More
