About 1/2 hour hike up the mountain to rainforest. Orchids, bromeliads about 8 feet in diameter! At the peak there is a viewing platform which gives amazing views of the entire horizon and all the other surrounding islands. Go on a clear day for the best views. Very hot, bring water to stay hydrated while hiking

Signs says 25 minutes and I think it took us about 15. For the upper trail you can park on the side of the road (it took us a while to figure that out). Also it's largely shaded, but plan for HEAT.

The sign says 50 minutes to the top, but it was more like 25 and we were not killing ourselves. Very nice walk through thick forest ending at a three story platform that offers 360 degree views. Very glad we did it and would recommend it for anyone looking for something beyond the beaches!

I was a little nervous to hike Gorda Peak, not for the hike (more like a walk) but because I was alone in a new place. It turned out to be just fine (maybe it was because I was soon loud walking through to ensure some unknown animal would get me or a snake would leave my path "think Parent... More

Where do I even start with Virgin Gorda? Will it be the fantastic views, the lovely people or the beaches? Yes. It'll be the beaches. If you come to visit this island, it is one thing that must be done - to visit the beaches. Ironically, you've probably already see the Virgin Gorda beaches. The are the famous stock screensavers... Both the long and short hikes are fun. The views from the platform at the top of the peak are stunning.

Stopped along the road on our way from Leverick Bay to Spanish town and hiked to the top. The trail is rocky but nothing outrageous. Along the way there is restrooms and picnic tables so you can bring a lunch. Once at the top the views are 360 degrees of the island and absolutely gorgeous. A must do to stretch... More

Virgin Gorda is a sailing and other water activities hub in the British Virgin Islands. But if you go inland you can have a panoramic view of all the BVI. You'll need a vehicle of some sort (car is preferable) to get to the starting point of the trail to the "peak." It's about a half hour light hike uphill... More

The path to Virgin Gorda peak is rocky, but the vegetation is beautiful and we climbed to the top viewing deck pretty easily. "A lovely walk" as my kids say. Keep an eye out for Land Hermit Crabs which are fascinating. Signs are a bit misleading as one path says 45 mins to the top and the other says 20... More

not a long hike. Pretty well signed. Decent view at the top (climb up the stairs/ladder to an observation platform)--the view from Hog Heaven was actually better (more unobstructed). We didn't see another person the entire time.
