I've hiked to Gorda Peak several times. The encounters along the trail and the views from the peak never cease to amaze me. They just seem to get better with every visit.

Our group of 9 used Sweet Ice Willie's transportation service while we were in the Baths/Virgin Gorda. He dropped us off, and was back at the pre-arranged time....just like he said he would be. Friendly, cheerful, and gave us a little tour of the island as we rode with him..... We thought he was great, and would definitely use him... More

There are only a few parking spots along the road, so come early. The hike is easy. The flora and fauna are only mildly interesting. Lots of hermit crabs and some stinky toes. The view from the top is what makes this hike worth while.

It's a pretty workmanlike hike until you reach the top. Prior to that, there are no views, just a pleasant hike through the woods to the top. The trail is easy to follow. At the top, you can see quite a ways, and it is good to get a bird's eye view of the other islands. We took the shorter... More

there is a nice walking trail to the top, not too strenuous, but hiking shoes advised. at the end of the walk you are treated to a nice view in all directions of the island.

I arranged for Sweet Ice Willie to meet our family of 11 at the cruise port to take us to a local beach. He was there ahead of time and was waiting for us when we got off with a sign so we could easily locate him. He was very kind, helpful and informative on our way to the beach.... More

Hot, muggy and a bit buggy, but didn't take us longer than 15 mins one way. Saw some stinky toe pods, flowers, butterflies, lizards and hermit crabs on the rocky climb up. Awesome 360 view from the platform up top. A good workout, good thing to do on a party cloudy or rainy day--the view is still neat and it'll... More

We almost skipped this stop on our self-tour of Virgin Gorda. First, there is no formal parking spots for the trail up to the peak. We were told to just park anywhere along the road, which made us a bit nervous since the trailhead is located on a very busy stretch of road coming over the peak. The sign says... More

The hike is about 50 minutes round trip and not difficult, although you do need sneakers. Not much to see except a couple lizards. There is a platform at the top of the trail with good views, better views from Hog Heaven. Worth it if you have an hour to kill but otherwise can be skipped.

The hike was very easy I did the long one with my two year old on my back almost all the way up, and I dont excerize so you can imagine it wasnt that challenging. During the walk there is nothing to see, but the view from the top makes it worth it.
