You can't snorkel and drink rum all the time while visiting Virgin Gorda. Burn off a few calories by hiking to the viewing platform at the top. The views are stupendous of the North Sound and in all directions. Nothing obstructs your view. Only do this hike on a clear sunny day.

The walk was nice for me, but a little too difficult for young children (five years old). It took about a half an hour through the woods. When we got to the top, the view was beautiful. Parking by the upper entrance is better than the lower one. The path is cleared a little better up there.

I love the climb to Gorda Peak. It's a very easy climb, even for the inexperienced. You can spot tons of hermit crabs on the way up.
