Beautiful island

Beautiful island with a relaxed feel about it. It isn't one of the bigger Caribbean islands or one of the bigger holiday islands but it was so nice to not be surrounded by hotels

Loved the tour! We went with a family of 9 with age ranges from 16 - 70. With the various age ranges, we had a hard time agreeing on an excursion. We were pleasantly surprised and all loved this tour. Our guide taught us a lot about the island. Effortless2Travel.com

Took a tour with Troy Smith on the Pirates of the Caribbean around the island for only $25 per person and it was worth a lot more. The way he explained the islands history made you want to more there. The tour makes several stops for photos and you don't feel rushed. The beautiful beach was a highlight for us... More

We went on a local bus tour of the island costing 20 dollars. The mini- bus was slightly delapidated and we were not sure if it would make the hills, but it did. The scenery was fantastic, again the driver kept stopping to point out different land marks, and letting us off the bus to take pictures. We stopped at... More

It was great to have a guide who knew the island so well, we really enjoyed the time spent exploring it.

The only thing better than Keith's knowledge of Tortola was the sense of humor he uses while sharing it with you. His bus is equipped with WiFi, so you can post the beautiful pics immediately after taking them. Thanks, Keith

Tortola is not an island in which I was familiar but we had a delightful experience. We had our own driver for half day who took us to the scenic overlooks beaches and various places of interest. It is a beautiful island and would be a great Honeymoon retreat or a quiet place to chill.

Very peaceful, relaxing Island in the Caribbean. Everyone seems to be 'chilled out' all the time. There is a lot of 'stuff' scattered around the island, such as old cars, rubbish etd. The buildings seemed to be a little run down but no one seemed to care.

Very good overview of the island! The roads are very narrow and hairpin turns make it feel like you are Indiana Jones!! You go all the way up to the top of the mountain for amazing views!

Tortola is a paradise Island to look at and the privately owned offshore island show the wealth that the absentee owners have, but in common with the Caribbean island the local reality is different. The roads are narrow and steep so expect a bumpy ride but the views are worth it. I would have hoped for a little longer on... More
