this place is for you! Not a typical American Tourist trap rum distillery tour. Try to avoid it on days when the cruise ships are in port because the bus loads of sunburned and overfed swarm to Cane Garden Bay. Delicious rum, with unique sitings.

We decided to stop at the distillery while visiting Cane Garden with our friends. It's actually not open this time of year however we ran into one of the owners while walking around and he gave us a tour. He is part of this family owned business. Callwood is the longest continuous running rum distillery for over 200 years. We... More

You enter a little shack, pay $1.00 and receive 4 shots of their rum. Not much else to see or do here

I was not impressed with the "negative" marketing, If they have a fine product this is a poor way to present it, they give the impression of fly by night, though they have been around. I am sure there is an interesting history/story here somewhere. Suggest the owners take a higher road and will perhaps have more business. There are... More

I was on a tour and of the island and our tour guide gave us a great tour. it was during the off season and the guide didn't know if anyone would be there @ Castlewood. I was a little weary about driving off the road but he assured me that we would be ok. we took the tour and... More

not much to see. there is a little shack that has the shots outside for the $1. no tour whatsoever. Unless you want to be ripped off and walk outside the building. It was ok as my 21 year old son works at a liquor store and thought it was interesting. Would of rather stayed at the beach. Feel bad... More

If this distillery in on your way, go. If you want to buy good rum, go. If you want to see a very very old (almost run down house), go. Otherwise, there is way more to see and do in Tortola. The rhum is indeed excellent. And like other people said, you can taste sample of the various kinds of... More

This was a neat little place to visit in Cane Garden Bay. They make Pure Cane Rum and for a $1.00 you can sample each of the four kinds. They explained the difference between the white, freshly made rum, the 4 year aged rum, the 10 year aged rum, and the flavored ladies rum!!! It's an easy walk from the... More

This building has such a fascinating, old world charm (over 400 years old and it shows!) and the people there know their stuff. I've got to respect any place that still produces rum on such a small scale. The 10 year aged rum was so smooth that you need to pick up a bottle for yourself - 20 dollars for... More

I love this place. Must be the best Rum on the planet first of all. The only place to get it is at the distillery. I take my charter guests there al they all really seem to enjoy it, well they do give samples of there Rum before you buy. The guys who work there are full of info on... More
