Cool stop, great rum!

It's old and run down as you would expect with it's age, but the employees are very friendly and very generous with their tastings. Some of the best rum I've ever tried. I think... read more

It's old and run down as you would expect with it's age, but the employees are very friendly and very generous with their tastings. Some of the best rum I've ever tried. I think the tour and tasting was a grand total of $1.

Stopped here briefly on an island tour and bought some miniatures of their products ($2) to take back to the ship. It is a very small operation; the only place in the BVI that still produces rum and the people are friendly. But before you take photos, they want you to buy something. The "Arundel" is a 10 year old,... More

After spending part of the day at Cane Garden Beach wondered down the dirt road passed rentals to this distillery at the edge of the 'village'. Young woman working there amazingly had studied in Canada before coming back to work in her family's business. Tried four shots for a dollar, pretty reasonable! Did suggest to her that they needed signs... More

I had heard of this from a fellow traveler a couple of years ago and was not disappointed. It is a distillery that has been around for 400 years and in the same family for the past 200 years. They have is down. It is a small, very cool place to visit. There is a tasting room (for a nominal... More

This caribbean distillery is a must to visit while in Tortola. They offer you a tour of the area and some samples of the rum and you can buy it in different sizes. Sometimes you can see the owners around and get to chat with them.

A laid-back presentation of the history of this distillery that was a pleasant diversion. One buck gets you four tiny shots of rum of different qualities. The last, the "Panty Dropper" blend, goes down VERY easily.

We visited Callwood Distillery as part of our island bus tour and it was a great stop. The guys were funny and friendly and you cannot complain at $1 for four shots of rum. We bought a bottle to take home and my husband said it was really good. They do not pressurise you into buying anything. It is really... More

Kervin and staff will treat you to samples of rum or wine, answer your questions, in a kindly manner, and give a tour, if you can spare the time. We never miss an opportunity, to stop by for a taste, and a come away with a few goodies. Thankyou, until next season, Susie and Heinz
