It took a little while to find it, but Josiah's bay is breathtaking. The surf is impressive and mesmerizing.

Another of Tortola's lovely beaches complete with pre-requisite bar/restaurant sitting on the sand near waters edge. We encountered a group of little stinging jellyfish when we were there. They were annoying, but didn't cause enough grief to make us exit the water.

A crowded day for this beach may be 70 people and that is only on weekends. If you like solitude this is the place. 2 locations for food and drink.

Perfection! Often solitary beach with great bar (and excellent burgers!) Crystal clear water, beautiful landscape, great people, and excellent surf and snorkel. Favorite beach on Tortola - the island of many beautiful beaches.

good play beach for surfing. bar/restaurant/board rentals available but did not use them so cannot review but beach/water was fun, uncrowded, clean and very picturesque.

We went here the day the surf was up here and not at Apple Bay. It was quite a trek to get there but worth it. The "tiki" bar serves decent beach food and refreshing drinks.

Beautiful beach, great little restaurant, gentle waves....perfection. We visited most of the beaches on Tortola - this was my definite favorite. We had the beach almost to ourselves - it's below the radar. Hope it stays that way

great place to catch some waves and offers two kitchens serving food and one bar open regularly. go to the far west of the bay for great snorkeling and stay closer to the east end for the best waves and close proximity to the bar :)

Stopped by Josiah's Bay on our way back to the West End from Beef Island. We had heard from some locals that there were pretty good conditions lately and that there'd be some surfers there. Beach was nice, wide, and empty. There were two bar/restaurants right as you come on the beach. Shaded palapa type tables avail right on the... More

Josiah's Bay is a comfortable beach with ample parking close to the beach and a few beach bar/restaurants. Especially in the winter it is a surfing beach, but off season, it is easy swimming and very pleasant. There is an undertow when the surf is up, so watch out. This beach seems not to be on the list of places... More
