Nice beach with easy access from cane garden bay. As is usual in Tortola beach also means easy access to food & drink. Good spot for families.

There are 2 Longbay beaches in Tortola. This one at West End is very beautiful to look at but there are many large rocks in the water and a great deal of surf even on calm days.

We managed to avoid Long Bays amazing beach the last time on Tortola opting to drive by on our way to Smugglers Cove. This time however we had a beautiful villa only a short walk away on the western edge of Long Bay Beach Resort. I love beaches & could spend all day on one whether its got facilities or... More

there are 2 long bays either side of the beef island/tortola bridge. beef island long bay is idyllic, long stretch of white beach with very calm water and it is crystal clear. no services available but take your own chairs and cooler---there are shade trees. beautiful.

We stayed at Long Bay Beach Club. This is a great walking beach and swimming close to the uninhabited end.

long bay on beef island is indeed a long, clean, white sand beach lined with sea grape for plenty of shade. there is very good snorkeling at the far end along the perimeter reef. unfortunately the old underwater snorkeling trail has not been maintained and only concrete block remain here and there. but there are plenty of corals, plenty of... Long Bay beach is quite a sight. Take a nice long walk along the beach, head for the British Flag tied to long pole. When the flag is flying, Nature Boy is serving some of the best Rum Punch I have ever had. He claims to make the punch himself from 10 different fruits, sometimes it is 12. Nevertheless, it... More

This beach is long, wide, powdery sand on the Atlantic Ocean side of Tortola. There can be an undertow, so probably not safe for children. The main drawback are rock slabs under the water which could make for an uncomfortable exit from the waves. Wish we had brought foot protection which makes sense at many BVI attractions.

Away from the bustle of road town and the cruise ships, long bay is perfect for anyone. Go to the far end of the beach for the best swimming. Back in front of the resort are too many rocks. What a treat though to avoid the masses at cane garden bay!!!

There were a total of 6 other people on this long perfect white beach when we were there, and there is Winston Natureboy, with his little hideout, perfect for a delicious drink… down the way a bit is the 1748 restaurant if you want lunch.
