A perfect getaway for a day, this charming, half-mile strip of soft white sand is isolated and rarely visited since it is accessible only by a small dirt road.

Long Bay (East End)

There are apparently 2 different long bay beaches. We went to the one on the East end. If's a beautiful, quiet place (no amenities) for locals, where the sand is soft and white.

This is one of the bigger beaches to walk on. Nice half moon shape with restaurant, bar and houses along the way. A lot of vacation rental homes.

We came here only for a dip in the waves, but there are full facilities available including restaurant. This is our second trip here.

Getting here I had a jeep and I'm glad I did. Some of the roads are dirt, rutted out, and steep. The beach has some shade, not a lot, and a place for lunch (name escapes me)

One of my favorite beaches. Long Bay has more waves than Smugglers Cove -- but can also be calm. This is a beautiful, unspoiled beach. There are mostly houses along the beach as well as the Long Bay Beach Resort which is in transition and under new ownership. At the end of the beach there is a funky bar with... More

Breakfast was good and the staff was very nice. When we walked the beach which was very nice and big we noticed looking at Hotel rooms looked very dated and needed updating.

Absolutely stunning! Amenities nearby. A super funky beach bar, unfortunately, was closed when we were there. Long Bay was my favorite on the island.

We just came back from Tortola island. Twice I went for a swim there and each time I was alone on the whole beach. Water was divine, clear ,calm and beautiful. It is not a beach were you spend long time as there are no other facilities. There is plenty of shade under the trees. But the swimming is superb.

This was one of the more beautiful beaches I have every been on. And what's nice is that it is NOT crowded. We were there for 1 week and only on one day did we see day trippers come in. The beach is may a mile long (not sure) and it's pristine! Nice long walks interrupted only once by a... More
