This was an excellent little excursion. Got on the dingy at St. Maarten Yacht Club, next to the drawbridge. A short ride over to Passat and we were on our way around 6:00 pm. Sunset was around 6:30 and although obscured by some clouds was still rather spectacular. Sailing quietly at dusk was so peaceful and enjoyable. Perter and MaryAnn... More

4 couples in my group scheduled the full day on the historic Passaat as part of a big 5-0 birthday celebration. We were so excited to see that our selected date lined up with the Heineken Regatta. What a wonderful experience. Breakfast and Lunch were provided along with cocktails and other beverages. Our hosts Miriam and Pieter were fabulous hosts,... More

We were fortunate enough to get on the Passat on the Friday of Regatta to follow the races and we had a blast. Peter and Miriam are beautiful people. Their hospitality was so amazing. Peter explained the races so well that we actually understood what we were watching. They fed us very, very well and there were plenty of drinks.... More

Our family of 4 adults truly enjoyed our sail into the sunset. Wine, beer, rum punch or sodas as well as appetizers all included. It is a pleasure to be able to enjoy the passion of others and this is one of those chances, don't miss it!

My girlfriend and I booked this excursion through Island Marketing, prior to leaving on our Celebrity Reflection Cruise, from March 1 to March 8, 2014. We had an unfortunate experience on the previous day, in St Thomas, with regard to an excursion that never materialized, so this was an opportunity for Island Marketing to redeem their good name...They did so... My husband and I weren't sure what to expect, but the pictures of the ships were fascinating so I had high hopes. We met at the yacht club and took a dinghy out to the ship. After getting on board we were given beverages, later we had some snacks and then followed by a nice dinner after sunset. The boat... More

We loved the sunset tour on the Passaat, a sailing schooner with a very interesting history, and a very pleasant and accommodating Dutch couple managing the boat and hospitality. Reasonably priced (I think $40 per person), including beer/wine/punch and some delicious snacks. We found a brochure at the Marigot Tourist Information desk and were surprised not to have seen it... My wife and I had the greatest time enjoying the 4+-hour day sail. What a great way to experience what life would be on a classic Dutch schooner, especially for inexperienced sailors. We enjoyed the gentle sail around the southwest corner of Sint Maarten. The lunch was also top notch. Mirian and Pieter were perfect hosts. No music, just the... More

Yay! No calypso music or mate trying to force feed me rum! What a relaxing experience and top quality service. The food was gourmet and the wine was excellent, and served in a real glass, not a plastic cup. This cruise will please all ages except for those looking for a spring break party. Seniors, don't fear the ladder or... More

12/3/2013. I recently took the day sail on the Passaat classic sailing schooner and it was a lovely day. The boat ride was relaxing and Marian was very inviting and always at hand to deliver a drink or homemade bread. Pieter captained the boat and was very friendly and answered all our questions about the boat, St Maarten and all... More
